Default lights went out tonight... had to drive home on foglights -_-

I saw a little warning on the dash.. looked like it was referring to lighting issues... so i looked at the front of the car... the driver side was out... then I went to the gas station and was messing with the lights to see if I could get it working... and the other one went out...

So I basically got home on foglights and high beams on the way home..

Anyway, I got my car 1-2 months ago so the dealership should repair it under the warranty they offer.

How often does this happen? And how much are the lights to replace? And is it hard? Any "upgraded" lights I could buy in the process?

Have the bulbs blown?
Has the fuse blwon?
I'm assuming that neither of those will be covered under your warranty - normal wear & tear items.

My car is a '05 ltd coupe. I've had it over a year now and had to replace both headlights within a couple of days of each other. I used Silverstars @ $15 each. They were a little bit of a pain to install with the passenger side a little more tedious than the driver side.

I opened the girl up today (lol) and I found out one was blown and the other was was completing "missing".. the light bulb either shaddered or melted.

It was easy to get them out.. .except that damn little clip was a ***** to get back in... I don't think the clip was supposed to come off.. but it did anyway -_-... took way too long to change
