Hi All,
My name is Ted. I just sold my 65 Dodge Coronet 500 because I was tired of doing repairs to it and also tired of having the problem of finding parts.
Seeing as the prices seem to be so affordable on Crossfires and being a longtime Chrysler guy, I'm now kicking tires on Crossfire's. I plan on cruising the forum to see if I really want one of these cars and what problems to look for. All I know at this point is that I would want a Limited and most likely a convert.

Welcome from Sarasota, FL. I chose a Limited Coupe for the space. But the Roadsters are fun of course. We have a nice group of Crossfires here in the West coast of Florida and we meet at least once a month. Message me if you are interested in meeting up with us.

What I would tell someone (since you are a car guy, you already know what to look for, in general) only a few things to watch for:
1) Door rust - some cars have developed rust along the bottom of the door. YOu can search "Stop the rust while you can" here on the forum. I've owned three Roadsters and never had an issue with it, but some have.
2) On the SRTs, take a close look under the trunk liner for evidence of water in the low spots in back, the SRT fixed wing is a known problem for water leaking in and doing damage to electronics in the back of the car. (Someone else can remind me, is it just the coupes or also the roadsters???)

Thanks! I'll be in touch should I decide to purchase a Crossfire.

Thanks to all that welcomed me and gave me info on these cars.
After careful consideration, and much research, I have decided to pass on this beautiful car. Several years ago, I bought a low mileage 1996 Mercedes SL 320. I always wanted one and the 96 was the car I could afford. I had the car for about a year and it almost drove me broke. I feel the same will happen with the Crossfire due to it's MB heritage. All of you here have beautiful cars and whenever I see a Crossfire on the street I will again say what a beautiful car it is!
Thanks again!
