Custom 1 off color i mixed and painted myself. Based on lambo yellow. Green, gold, white pearl.

 

Welcome to the forum. That is a nice color an the stripes add a certain panache. Is that just a reflection on the hood or have you added, venting?

 

That was stickers from an autocross event i entered.

 

Very sharp! Eye catching color, watch out for the eyes of the good folks with the red & blue lights on their vehicles, LOL. I like your wheels too.

 

Welcome to the forum. That's an "eye popping" color! Certainly a Crossfire that will draw a crowd wherever it sits.

Looks like you "made it your own". Nice color choice. What color was it originally? Did you paint it the same color under the hood?

 

I wondered if any one was going to ask the BIG question. Nothing like a car painted a different color only where you see it and shown with the doors, hood, trunk and gas cap cover closed.
Fubu did it the correct way, do it incorrectly and the value drops like a brick.
Let's see some real pictures, doors, hood open etc. then we can say great job or not.

I have owned it 8 years. I painted it 6years ago.all jambs and under the hood. I have always browsed the forum for advice but never joined. Its been xcrossed and not driven nice. 115,000 and never had to fix nothing major. 1 motor mount, and tensioner pulley. Its got Megan Racing exhaust.k and n, and upgraded brakes. Love the XFIRE.

The reasons you have had no issues are:

• You DRIVE it.
• You take care of it (one owner or one long-time owner cars are way more reliable)

I'm not a fan of the all black wheels and I THINK I agree that the stakes and door handles should be black - but again, this shows just how good yellow COULD have been, had D/C not been so obsessed with "weak" colors. (Aero Blue? SSB? That weak yellow? What was their problem?)

 

Yea, if you put a motor mount in an N/A, you are not driving it like your grandmother would.

 

Get an SSB or an Aero Blue SRT and then say weak.

 

I also agree with comments by ala_xfire & pizzaguy that the door handles & strakes would really "pop" on this car if they were black. I might also have painted the front grills (definitely the lowers; maybe the main) black also. This would tie in to the black rims. MHO

But I must say seeing the door jams, underhood & undertrunk all painted to match makes the job top notch looking. The yellow itself doesn't "knock my socks off" but the car is a statement in and by itself and that makes it a winner in my book!

 

The front grills are painted black. And also the roll bars. What does everybody think of doing color matched wheels. My wifes idea. I can always change back.

 

Never paid attention that the roll-over bars were painted black. Another nice look. Can't recall ever having seen that before. Again, makes the Crossfire unique looking. Give us a picture of the front end with the black grills.
