Default New folks...looking

We both have always loved the look of the Crossfire. We just recently decided to look at one that came out for sale in southern AZ. Sadly, it had 186,000 miles and SALVAGE title...asking $6500. We love this forum and all the advice and answers. Still deciding on coupe vs roadster and whether to pop for the SRT-6....stay tuned and thanks for this venue!! Mike and Sharon

Hate to hear that , lot of unscrupulous (nice word) people.
Hopefully you can get into something nice an fast. If you search the Crossfire documentation collection ,you'll be able to find a list of things to search for ,when buying a new used Crossfire..

$6500, 186,000, and a salvage Title. price is High. Pass

I have to ask about the Salvage title? just wondering what the damage was out of Curiosity.

I would love to know the real story of mine.
my supposition and facts I can figure out.

1. somebody bought it. (duh)
2. Somebody wrecked it. (minor damage to the drivers front.)
2a. Drunk?
2b. stupid?
2c. a + b
2d ?
3. Somebody reported it Stolen. (Carfax)
4a. somebody got caught for insurance Fraud?
4b. ?
5. Body shop bought and repaired and sold. (quick slick repair job, should have been done better.)
6. I bought it without even test driving it October of last year out side an Adult store.

I knew what I was getting into, and it is working out very well for me.

FYI The Tires last a lot longer if you slow down and not just throw it into every corner.

The story from the kind, older gentleman that now owns the car was that he bought it from a Chrysler dealer that told it was a salvage title, but that there was NO damage and they had to put a salvage title on it simply because it had the high (186k) mileage. He did have the Carfax report which reported the accident (near Phoenix) and the subsequent shuffle between dealers until it arrived an Sierra Vista about 6 or 8 months ago when he bought it. The car looked and drove fine. He offered to put it on a lift, etc. But when he said he was looking at $8000 but that $6500 was his bottom line. We had a nice chat and said our goodbyes.
