New owner limiter 2005 Roadster
New to this forum and to a 2005 Roadster, I'm excited to own one and drive it in Colorado, as a retiree I believe this forum will save me money at the end by reading and learning from others. Bought this little beauty in June with 21600 miles at a very good price, recently I've changed both air filters with K&N filters and what a difference it made to acceleration and throttle response. At 63 years of age this is my first Roadster and I feel a lot younger already!
i want to thank you all in advance for sharing your stories and assisting others with recommendations and how to fix things.
Ps. I drove to Vail Colorado two weekends ago and this little beauty drove beautifully at 11000 feet, 5th gear and still accelerating!

If previous owner(s) left the same filters in there for over ten years, I'd get the coolant system flushed as well as transmission fluid and differential fluid changed. Have the brakes bled while you are at it. Probably would not hurt to do the power steering fluid as well, tho few ever do.
Then, when you get time, get the "sticky key" mod done before it's too late. I'd then to my trunk lock mod as well. These two mods can go a long way toward keeping you smiling and help you avoid a bad surprise one day. Last item is to make sure you have the top tool, know how to put the top up and down manually - and keep the tool in the cabin NOT TRUNK.
Oh, and order a Bosch Crank Sensor and put it in the trunk.

Thank you so much for the excellent recommendations , I'll tackle each item immediately, now that I have plenty of time in my hands. Thank you again.
Congrats on your recent purchase & welcome to our Forum. You've already gotten some good advice on tasks to perform to ensure the reliability of your new ride. Others will pitch in as issues arise. Enjoy
