Hi, I’m from NV, I have a 2004 Slk 320 and I’m trying to mod and eventually get a tune on it. I’ve been lurking around here for a while, you guys have way more info on mods and stuff posted than the slk forums. I also go to the junkyard at least once a month so I think I can help some people find some parts!
this is an old pic, no longer in CA and I cleaned up that wax I missed on the side.....
I have a 2002 C-320 wagon , same motor as your SLK ,, a few things u can do, needswings.com for a good intake.
a ecu tune,, remove the rear cats,, or change the exhaust , of course we could drop a V8 in it for you or u could sell it get a slk32 or a crossfire .

Nice, I love Mercedes wagons! I’ve been thinking of selling to get an slk 32 but the car has some sentimental value and I don’t have the extra 5k to upgrade to a 32 yet. My next car will likely be a pre 2000 SL 500. I’ve been eyeing the Needswings intake for the last two years and I finally have a little bit saved up so I’m debating between the Needswings intake, making my own intake, or a straight through
. So far I’ve changed spark plugs, fixed valve cover gaskets/resealed oil breather cover, oil and filters, larger maf housing and installed the larger throttle body from an s 500. Id like to see what I can get out of the v6, plans are intake, exhaust, tune and id like to delete my secondary air pump(if anyone knows how, lmk!). I wanted to lower my car but I recently moved and my driveway is too steep for that so I’m gonna hold off for now. Will I be able to pass obd smog checks if I delete my rear cats?
Not sure on the smog test in Fl we don't have emissions, sounds like u have done some of the best mods to the limited,, 3.2 v6 .
the reasion i bought the C320 wagon it has the same 3.2 v6,,rear suspension and a some interchangable interior parts. some of the engine parts that interchange with the v8 is water pump, alt,,some pulleys and the belt ,, you see the V8 has two engine belts one for the accessories, and one to drive the supercharger.

so lucky! I think there are ways to get around removing the rear cats but I may just wait until my car is old enough to be exempt from emissions. I go to the junkyard and have pulled parts off all kinds of m113 engines and a c class(fog light) for my car, I’d like to follow this TVT designs thread except use the Needswings cai instead of the larger air box. I didn’t know the water pump is interchangeable, is it any bigger/an upgrade or just interchangeable? That’s very interesting, I’d love to swap in a supercharged v8 but I don’t have the resources or knowledge yet. I’m just out of school, planning on getting a degree in automotive technology, so maybe one day. https://www.slkworld.com/threads/m11...e-parts.14748/
if your not already on slkworld, check it out there’s a good amount of info on the m112 on there.
