New member
I’m not exactly a new member, joined a couple of years ago or so.
I have only one post so far but by golly I’ve been on this site so many times for info.
I have to say to all that have posted helpful posts, THANK YOU ALL!!
I bought my first Crossfire a couple years ago. It needed a right door and the transmission was kaput!
After trailering it home I figured out it was Mercedes, not Chrysler.
That intimidated me. I can’t do a transmission on a Mercedes. I install windshields for a living!
Well after the car sat in the backyard for 6 months, I decided it was time to sell it and get my money back. So I put a battery on the car, started it, put it in gear and I drove it outta the back yard. WAIT a minute, the transmission isn’t bad! So after some searching I found this site. Realized it was the electrical connector on the side of the transmission. Bought one, installed it and voilà!
Fast forward til today. I’ve bought 5 Crossfires since then. 3 coupes and 2 convertibles. Sold 2, still have 3.
My first one ended up becoming a parts car.
If it wasn’t for this site and it’s very helpful and knowledgeable members, I couldn’t have done it.
You guys and this site are wonderful.
As I stated earlier, I install auto glass for a living, 45 years. If I can help anyone with any auto glass related questions, please feel free to message me. I’ll be more than happy to assist.
Thanks again, Robert
