2005 Aero Blue Pearl SRT
After a few months of looking around for a Crossfire and paying to have two PPI done, I finely purchased a 2005 Aero Blue Pearl SRT with 28K. I ended up not purchasing either of the two that I had a PPI.
One of them, a black SRT needed a lot of work and the owner was not willing to come down on his asking price. The other one was a super low mileage 2004 Limited but I thought that a SRT would be a better fit in our garage.
I purchased the SRT in Atlanta from Collectable Motor Cars of Atlanta this past weekend and drove it home Monday. The car ran great @ 80mph. I will do a full service over the next few weeks and look forward to driving this car. My wife loves the car and the color which is out of the norm for us because black is our color of choice for most of the cars that we have owned over the past 39 years. The car has lots of power and it is smooth over the power range and a great sound from the exhaust. The Crossfire will be a great addition to our garage. We already have a 2013 S4 tuned to 440 HP we like horsepower.
I have already read through this forum and the problematic items. I have already ordered a Camshaft Position Sensor, a Crankshaft Position Sensor, a Cabin Filter, an Air Filter, Wipers, and a License Plate Light Lens. Next on the list is the transmission service kit, Pulley Saver Kit Waldig/NeedsWings, and Water Pump Pulley. The oil was already changed so I will do that later. I will check the brake pads and bleed them.
From what I have seen on this forum it will be a great source of information, thanks for having me.
