Hello and happy holidays to all! I'm in NE Pa and have been a "gearhead" all my life LOL, drag racer from the 60-70's, drag race and road race motorcycles 70-80's and still love'em all! Years ago attained my dream car, a replica ERA 427SC Cobra and enjoyed every second! Sadly at This point I can't physically drive/enjoy it any longer due to health issues, 2 weeks ago I watched it go down the road to live in Florida with my son. I always liked the Crossfire, think they're really nice looking cars and went to look at one, it was showroom condition, 31000 miles, perfectly stock, silver blue metallic w/gray/cedar interior and auto trans (this was necessary but will take getting used to LOL!), bought it on the spot and home it came, just before the Cobra left. I've only driven it twice since I got it Nov 3rd and am definitely going to have to adjust but I think it's going to be an enjoyable ride! I had already joined the forum to gather info on the cars before I bought mine and would like to thank everyone here, there's a wealth of knowledge on the cars here and it's availability is one of the reasons I decided to try a Crossfire, a lot of info, gathered from a ton of hard work, time, dedication by the contributors and kindly shared to all, so again, thank you for your work and willingness to share, greatly appreciated. I wish I would have been a bit more patient though, after I got my coupe I started thinking I'd like a roadster (actually a convertible, to me a roadster is open top, no roof, no windows LOL!), and didn't know the difference between the models, ie: SRT6, sorry, was stuck in the 60's. So, at this point I'm the proud owner of a mint 2008 crossfire coupe but am considering another, a roadster, and preferably an SRT6, and they'll both fit in the garage! Please excuse the pic quality, from a phone and the Crossfire had actually sat outside overnight, and off course, it rained! so it's actually filthy in the pics, they were taken after playing "musical cars" and I got it in the garage but before I cleaned it up! The pics of the XF and the Cobra are just nostalgia, I'm still going thru "withdrawals" LOL!
Thanks, seen the production numbers, interestingly I've looked at 3 already in driving range for me, I'm limited to about an hour and a half ride at most, and wanted to buy 1 at asking price but when I looked at it it needed a bit, a beautiful car and I want/ed it but when I pointed out a couple things it needed and made an offer all I was told was "how rare the car is" and the guy shut down and wouldn't even communicate after so I assume they're rarer than I thought they were lol! Bit of tongue in cheek here so don't anyone get upset, as to the above, there's 2 sides to every story and im sure the gentleman I spoke with has a different view of the interaction, been around cars a very long time and truth is rarity is relative, I have another car, needs resto, that's 1 of 220, I have and have had cars that are rare, kind of the attraction to us all don't you think? Bummer is I know of 3 more that are close, 300-400 miles away but I just can't go that far, I've never bought a car sight unseen but may have to consider it at this point.
Best wishes in your search, I know I love mine. At 80 years old, me not the car LOL, it is much easier to get in and out of than the coupe, especially with the top down.
Congrats on your purchase of the Sapphire Silver Blue Coupe with the Darks Slate Gray NAPPA Leather w/Cedar Inserts - Color Combo of the original Crossfire Concept Car. Best of luck in your search for an SRT-6 Model. And welcome to our Forum.

Welcome to the forum, enjoy your Crossfire, it does have a unique color combination. I found my SRT6 Coupe in April 2006 and I've enjoyed it ever since. If your ever in the Philadelphia area, PM me and we could possibly meet. Attached is a picture of my Sapphire Silver Blue SRT6 Coupe with 19K miles.
Enjoy your "new" ride... Dennis
