Old Guy Buys Crossfire
I saw my first Crossfire in 2004. I instantly fell in love with it. I was at a point in my life where it would have been a very impractical addition to my life. But I could not forget how much I loved that vehicle. It was like an old girlfriend that you can't forget. I might also mention I never had a mid-life crisis. So, at 77 years old I asked my wife of 55 years if it was ok if I had one. She said yes and I bought a 2004 Crossfire with 27,000 miles. I think I have found the Fountain of Youth! Us old guys need lots of help, so you may see me on the Forum frequently. 😊
Welcome and you are never too old to enjoy a Crossfire. If you ever need work, mechanically you have a 2003 Mercedes SLK320. There is lots of info in this link and on this site. I am 80 and have had my Limited since 2006.

I've had a Crossfire since 2007
I'm currently 62 years old
I attend many Crossfire events every year and I can say that these cars are owned primarily by people in their 50's and older.
Welcome to the Crossfire community.
I hope to meet you someday at one of the Crossfire events each year.
The next one is right here in Michigan
The Woodward Dream Cruise
We have attended it every year since 2007
Come join us in August !!!

Congrats on your purchase of the 2004 Crossfire Coupe & welcome to our Forum. US 'old guys' need to stick together!
I've had my coupe since OCT/2008. Still runs & looks like it's brand new!

Indeed, it is a learned maneuver. I am perfecting my technique. I am working on it inside the garage. I don't want to provide too much entertainment for the neighbors. I am really enjoying my Crossfire.
I bought mine at 70 after a lifetime of muscle cars. I really learned to love the car after this year’s Ozark event. Really was able to push the car and see what it was capable of.
Welcome. to the forum Vsuttonjr. Everything and everybody that is anybody on the plant who knows about these cars, is right here.
I am also pushing 78 and really enjoying my hot rod Crossfire convertible sports car which I bought in Dallas about 5 years ago. After 4 Ozarks Rally's, a family reunion flew me to Traverse City Michigan, where another roadster wanted me. I didn't really want another Crossfire. But the 6 speed stick spoke to me and now it is in my garage here in Texas.
The car was in Suttons Bay, Michigan, is that anywhere near you?

I hope I am that fortunate too although who knows what I'll drive by then.
I'm 62 now so we're talking nearly 30 years from now.
Wonder if I'll still need gas ...lol
Maybe you will still be driving your antique crossfire? I remember in 1961, I bought a 1932 Ford that was considered an antique. It was only 29 years old. Of course, back then, a 10 year old car was considered worn out.
