Default Northern Virginia Area

Out of curiosity, how many people are located in the Northern Virginia area, such as Ashburn, Herndon, Reston, Sterling, etc.?

I'm in Herndon. There's a brand new black roadster in my neighborhood also. I haven't seen the owner yet.

We need to get a cruise together. As much as I would like to meet up with the MD guys and others from VA, my schedule really only permits small meets at near by locations for the time being.

Anyone have any ideas?

As of now there are three of us that have thus responded, and my father who owns a blaze red coupe makes 4. That's already a decent mini cruise right there, though a few more would be nice.

Howdy No Va! Would definitely like to hook up with you guys, sometime this fall. We're trying to get a crew to go to Ocean City first week in October, see the thread on that, but if that is not in the cards, then definitely a country drive out along the skyline or there abouts would be great. The local Maryland crew is definitely looking to meet up with you guys. FYI, I'm a NYer originally too, but lived and worked in No VA a lot, so pick the place to meet up and I'm there.

I'm in Wash DC. Saw a new XFi (paper tags) going into DC on the GW Parkway today.

Is there a forum where all you NOVA guys discussed where you take your cars for repairs and such? Bought my XF about 2 weeks ago and now I have to take it in for a probable rear differential swap! Any advice for reputable service? I am going to take my car to Chrysler Darcars Service Center of Fairfax tomorrow. It will be my first time. HELP!

MRobinso, I had to get my transmission replaced and I took it to the dealer I bought it from, Manassas Chrysler. I've had no problems with their service and they knew about the free loaner car for any warranty work and had Enterprise come pick me up so I could get in my rental. I haven't taken it anywhere else, because I haven't had a need to.

Thanks alot for the tip and quick response I appreciate it. Manassas is pretty close for me and I think I will take your advice and go there. I am going to call them today after work. Coming from another Crossfire owner that's good news! I will let you know how it goes. Is there a particular mechanic should request? Or do they only have one Crossfire certified mechanic? Thanks!

P.S. The transmission!? How many miles were on it at the time. If they handled that process relatively painlessly I hope things go smoothly. Just made an appointment for Tuesday morning after memorial day.

I have an old thread somewhere going into detail about my transmission woes last year. I had a bad torque converter and they needed to replace it and all the rest of the guts in the transmission to fix it. It was a factory default, I only had about 15,000 miles on it at the time.

I don't know the names of any of the mechanics or who is Crossfire certified. They have sold and service a decent number of Crossfires so I'm confident (especially after my major repair) that they know what they are doing.

My thoughts exactly. If they handled the tranny problem I am hoping they are helpful. Thanks for the input. I will let you know how it all goes. Taking it in Tuesday.

I'm in Williamsburg, about 2 hours south. I actually bought mine from Passport Chrysler in Alexandria though. I come up there to see friends about once every couple of months.

New to the Crossfire. Picked up a new '06 Gray LE Coupe from Cowles in Woodbridge. Located in Alexandria, but work in Fairfax Station. Love this ride.
