Derek...here's a link to the media coordinator for the DC Autoshow...I can contact her to find out about getting a pass. Let me know what you think.

Media: Please RSVP by January 17 to Kat Ballou, kathryn@pomeranceassociates.com. For more information, call 800-697-7574.
OK Senna, you're good to go with the press credentials... They will be held under your name at the press check-in desk. Just tell them you are a freelance producer for Hollywood Digital Imaging, Derek Grover... I also have a pass for an invisible cameraman and soundman... When you pick up your passes tell them your crew is unpacking the truck with the camera gear... LOL then you can give the other passes to whomever you want.... Have fun, take pictures...

The Waffle Shop is closed. Article in the Post a few weeks ago. My good friend Douglas Jemal bought the building and didn't renew their lease.
As for driving down I'm passing on that, I hate like hell putting my car on a lot, especially in DC. I'll take my chances with metro. Did we decide on time yet? Weekdays are not good for me at this time of year, gotta be a weekend day so Saturday or Sunday, let me know I'll be there w/camera.

You better get the group together for a friendly race at the auto show...

WASHINGTON, D. C. – Motorsports legend Richard Petty and NASCAR driver Bill Lester will headline
events at “Motorsports Magic – The Acceleration Celebration” at the 2007 Washington Auto Show. Race fans’
engines will surely get the green flag when they visit Performance Motorsports Marketing’s (PMM)
“Motorsports Magic – The Acceleration Celebration” at The 2007 Washington Auto Show. The interactive
feature display, sponsored by Motorsports Magic, gives you the chance to put the pedal to the metal and see if
you have what it takes to handle a variety of cars on the track.
Being behind the wheel not your thing? You can even test your pit crew skills. In addition to these
exhilarating activities, most Mid-Atlantic tracks will be represented as well as many of the metro area’s most
well-known race cars.
“As NASCAR and racing in general continue to be the fastest-growing spectator sports in the country,
we want to give fans an unforgettable hands-on experience,” says George Doetsch, Chairman of the
Washington Auto Show and president of Apple Ford. Larry O’Donohue, president of Performance Motorsports
Marketing, adds, “Unless they can persuade one of the pit crews to let them sit in a car on race day, this is a
unique opportunity they won’t find anywhere else.”

No worries Andrew...would have been great but we'll definitely see you at the Nationals in Carlisle!

RED, let's leave the meeting place for the Renaissance as noted earlier. Its right across the street and a short stroll to the Convention Center. Meeting time for Breakfast is 8:30 or when ever you can get there. We'll roll out of there by 9:45 and walk to the Convention Center. I will be bringing my son with me too. When we confirm the list, i'll make a reservation at the hotel for Breakfast.

It will just be myself. I'd be interested in breakfast. Didn't see a date decided on yet, so I'll toss in my $0.02 and suggest Saturday. Looking forward to it!
