Sorry everyone but I can't make it ...
I was hopping to finish up on a job but the weather isn't helping, and is taking longer then it should.
Hoping to see some of you at the Chrysler Nationals.

I really hate to do this, but I'm going to have to bow out too. I have had sudden business travel requirements come up for me to be at a facility by Monday, meaning I'll probably have to travel on Sunday. I hoped that I could resolve it without having to go, but I'm not going to be able to get around it.
I feel bad to break my commitment! I'll keep an eye out for future meets to make up for it.

I was there today (saturday). Sorry to disappoint, but no Crossfires at the Chrysler display. In fact, many of the displays this year were LAME. They just placed cars in there like a parking lot. Very little information, too. I wanted to see a Crossfire in there myself just to see how many people were hovering around it. They had TWO last year, and it drew people into the booth. Dodge had a Viper, and even though the car is 14+ years old in basic design, it was still mobbed. In other D/C news, according to the "product specialists" at the booth, D/C has given the green-light to the Challenger as an '08. Goes to prove that nicely designed stuff still pulls 'em in better than just new models. Hope the lines are better for you guys tomorrow morning, they were miserable today.
BTW - The Waffle Shop is indeed open...stopped by there this morning!

Sunday Morning brought misting rain and flurries...BUT, we had a gathering at the hotel for breakfast. Everyone had the buffet and we sat around and chatted.
Iamfink2, crossfireGal, 04Fire with three of his friends and REDCROSS and wife attended.
After breakfast we went across the street to the Car Show.
There were a few Concepts, Lots of New Cars (some cost more than we can count) and no Crossfire.
Word from a Chrysler Rep was that there will be no 07's BUT there will be a NEW version in '08.
We will see, huh!!
We lost 04Fire and his buddies at the start and crossed paths with Iamfink2 and crossfireGal numerous times during the day. We left mid-afternoon and saw no one to say goodbye...SOOOooo "GOODBYE"!!!
When we came outside it was blowing snow but it never turned into any problem. The roads were almost dry by the time we got home.
We had a great GTG and will all be looking forward to the next one.

At the Chrysler booth they also said there would be change in the body style but he didn't know what type of change, by the way I had a great time at the car show it was great to meet some other xfire enthusiasts but I wonder what happened to the others that said they were going to be there.
I had a great time! Got separated early (lots of distractions... mostly car related) and found myself wondering around the jaguar both for about a half-hour
... gotta love that new XKR.
I heard that too about the 07's... not sure what to think about that tiny tid bit. Definitely need to put a drive together for... may?
I have some pics of the cars new models/concepts if anyone's interested... I know CrossfireGal got a picture taken with the ZO6.
Dave where'd you go.

I'm goin' on a trip but when I get back I'll try to post some of the car pictures I took. I told iamfink I'd go up to the Chrysler booth and ask why no Crossfire & I sure did. We probably talked to the guy about 15 minutes when he said "That's a long story" and we said "We'd love to hear it." It was just a long tale of overstock really & then what is posted above about the 08 prospect. He did point out Xfi is in their full line book though not their full line tv commercials. The hard top Sebring convertible seemed really neat. The Gladiator was awesome - had only seen those on the internet.
We spotted Dave's car in the lot but not Dave, even though he was the breakfast & GTG organizer. As they say in New Orleans, "where ya't" Dave? We missed you! And where were the others who RSVPd? After I went up to 5 groups of people in the restaurant/hotel and said are you with the Crossfire group and got funny looks, I was glad Red Cross came along.
The Camaro concept was nice but iamfink felt once they're out the roads will be flooded with them/not unique.
One trend we noticed is that few of the salespeople with any line knew anything about any of the cars they were repp'ing, other than their memorized lines.

Sorry I missed you guys, my wife was sick. I pm'd Dave last week.
Hopefully I'll see you all in the spring at some of the Cruise In's. In May there is a Good Guys Show in Hershey and then there are the Nationals in July.
We'll meet up.
My best to all of you -
Pat
