Access to the show is very easy from all the major highways in the area, 78, 24, 287 and 80.

I have a place we can all meet in the morning thats only a couple of miles from the show. They do serve breakfast at the show from 8 to 9:30 for anyone who is interested. Lunch is from 11-4. I will be packing a small cooler with some things and don't forget to bring your chairs!

I would like to drive in together also. So, my vote is we meet early, but You, Rodimus and Anthony (TVT) are coming from the furthest distance. So I'll let you pick the time. Show starts at 8am.

They serve breakfast at the show until 9:30 if your interested, or we can go to a local diner or I can just pick-up some bagels and coffee.

No he's not coming, Frank is afraid of traffic, going thru the Bronx and bridges and he will not be able to keep up with me. ( I hope he reads this and has to prove me wrong.)

I know the roads are not great, but there not that bad. Once your over the GWB everything is fine. It's only a couple of miles where its rough. Besides, if you come out early, there won't be any traffic. It is a Sunday morning? You could go back via the southern route to 440 and Staten Island. It would only add about 45 minutes to the drive.

C'mon Frank, It would be good to see you again.

TBird, if you re-read my post, you will see that I am kidding about scraping the bottom of my XFire on Tony's (acrispy1) BODY when i run him over!

Two weeks ago I had to take my fiancee to Utica for her family reunion. We returned on a Sunday afternoon and went through a 75 MILE LONG TRAFFIC JAM on the New York Thruway and local New York City highways!!! That is the main reason why i told Tony I wouldn't go; the drive back to Long Island on a Sunday afternoon in the summer. Additionally, I now own my Mom's house and I am trying to sort through her belongings as quick as I can. It is a painful process and I am doing it by myself .
I am looking froward to seeing you and everyone else in the near future somewhere at some GTG or show, or even maybe the Dragon.... Is anyone else from up here going?

I understand you Frank. I know you have a lot of things to deal with right now. Give it time. I was just tring to twist your arm a little more.

SSSHHHHHA, I was afraid Tony might "chicken out" if he know how bad it can be to get back home from out here. Hoping he is to busy rearranging his sock drawer to see any of this. We did the Dragon this past spring. Still on the fence about the fall run. I believe there are some people from the area going. It's usually our busy time of the year. We'll have to come out after Labor Day and all go to a winery or something for the day.

 

i wanted to sneak down and meet up with all of you but it would be a 4 and 1/2 hour ride. In order to meet you for 8 I would have to leave at 3:30 ,4:00. Not going to happen on a sunday.
I hope you all have a great time. Maybe the next show I can grab a day off and go the night before.
