Is Masapequa close to the beach ....any hotels you can recommend. I would like to come out early Sat. morning to beat the traffic, hang out at the beach Sat. weather permitting. How was the traffic going back yesterday?

 

Don here is a link to the Marriott by me, its about 3mi from my house you guys can stop by our house Saturday night before we go to Cedar beach and Sunday morning the hotel is on the way to the Balloon feast.
Its about 20 min from the beach
Traffic wasn't bad, I didn't go through the Bronx, went down through Staten Island instead.

Tony, I'm just not going to be able to swing this one. I wasn't able to move the family plans around and open up my Sunday.
