as of about a year ago there were still plenty of shops in sugarloaf. I am going to be there to ride with you provided that everything goes well for me in traffic court tomorrow, but im not to worried. I can't wait to finally meet some people who actually appriciate the crossfire for what it is in norther nj.

 

Monopoly_man If you are going to be coming up 287 we could meet on our way to Bear Mountain if your interested.

TBird it would be easier for me to meet somewhere else as i am in Edgewater and it is kind of out of the way to go out to there. If im not mistaken the intersection of 80 and 287 is right by Morristown correct?

 

There is a diner about a mile and a half from 287 Route 80 interchange. Really easy to get to on Route 10. Been a little busy with work. I'll post the details and a time frame as soon as possible. Anyone interested in joining us for brunch before heading to Bear Mountain, Please do.

 

Yes, 287 & 80 is just north of Morristown Area. You would have to travel west on 80 to meet us and then we'll run north up to Bear Mountain. It's probably a little out of your way, but your more than welcome to meet up if you want to make the extra drive.

Is anyone concerned about the weather for Sat. I think the prediction is for rain. Any thoughts on moving this off to Sunday ???? just asking.

 

Rain??? That is not good news. We could maybe meet on the northern end of the PIP, there is a service/tourist area where you could exit either way..... Just a idea.

Rodiums, understand about the Jets Game for Sunday. I know what the tickets cost and I wouldn't miss a game either at those prices.

Our Crossfires are not daily drivers, so the honest truth is I like to keep them clean, BUTTTT, I would also like to finally meet up with you and put a face to the name. So, if we're the only ones with the issue of dirty cars we'll still take them out and meet as planned on Saturday.

Only other Option:
Change date to the 15th or 16th - (hope for better weather!)

This type of casual meet is open to everyone and any and all suggestions are welcome.

 

Sun does not work for me either. I don't think going to the barnsider in the rain is a good idea either because the mountains on 17 have some pretty tight turns that a rear wheel drive car in the rain might not take so good. I am actually busy the following weekend, I could do it but it would be tough. Its a shame too because the leaves are in there most colorful point this weekend. The rain is supposed to start around 9am. Our cars could make the trip over the mountains but they would really need a good cleaning afterward, and it wont be all that fun having to slow down for the banked turns all throught the road. I also would like to meet other enthuistis so I am open for any suggestions others may have, even if it be still having a gtg on saturday.

 

I think moving it up a week might not be a horrible idea..... But if we do lets make that the be all end all..... ya know?? Especially if the forecast stays like this..... looks like pouring rain not just a drizzle.

I know that Punkin was going to try and join us. We meet them at Carlisle this summer, good people. Just don't know if they are available if we move this off a week. I'll will try and send a pm, but probable won't hear from them until tonight.
Also know if we move this to the Sunday, 16th, I maybe able to talk a few more people into coming.

TVT would join us, but his car is torn down and there re-building it this winter.

Which day is better, Saturday or Sunday?

 

The Jets play Thursday of that week so either day would work. I would prefer Saturday but I really don't care.

As you may have noticed my life currently revolves around the Jets...haha

 

I could make it that weekend. I am however taking care of some pets for a friend that is out of town so I would need deal with that, as well as i am starting a new job that has a rotating sched. I really want to make it happen though. keep me posted.

 

Let me see if I can rally a few more of the members into next weekend instead of this one. We'll see which day is best and take it from there.

I'm ok if it's only a few of us, but the more the merrier.
