Let try and get one more GTG in before winter sets in. There has been a lot of talk from people in this area for a day Meet and Cruise. Rodimus and myself can plan something out, but lets talk about dates and places first.

With the colors changing fast we only have a couple options. Please post on the poll for a date and place. If you have any other suggestions please feel free to let us know.

 

I'd say November 8th anytime is good for me.


I think the bear mountain area would be beautiful. Even the PIP would be a nice ride. I'm open to pretty much anywhere, I have yet to participate in a ride/cruise so really want this to happen.


How does November 8th sound?

 

I'm OK with the 8th, but it maybe short notice for some. Worse case Rodimus, we'll pull out both of our Crossfires and find a place to meet up for those beers.

Do you know where Warwick, NY is? There use to be a good restaurant there called the Barnsider. Hot Cider and Rum on a cold fall day.

 

Posting from my Iphone so bear with me. That is so weird, my parents used to take me there like 15-20 years ago. I partly grew up in Chester NY which is the next town over. It would be great to go back there.

I will check into it. Probable been 10 years since I was up that way, but it was still there. Maybe this would be a more central meeting place. How far a ride would it be for you to get there? Some great roads in that area too.

We started this because of a thread about Jersey Crossfire owners and the fact that people don't even wave at one another. Do you think the other 4 or 5 people who where on the thread, from this area, have posted in on attending. Where are they all now ???? . Typical, as always.


Let's hope we can get at least a few more people to take drive, for a few hours, and meet some fellow owners.

 

I grew up in warwick. Ive been to the barncider many times. I think it would be good to do a drive through br mtn then i know some back roads through the mtns to get to warwick that would be really nice and we could do dinner and drinks at the barncider in sugarloaf.

 

So, Monopoly_Man does that mean we can count you in on this?

Think we are looking at Nov 8th, Meet at Bear Mtn. drive to Suger Loaf for a drink and bite to eat.

Provided that nothing changes between now and then, you can count me in. Ive been wanting to do a ride for some time. I think we should put another posting under the crossfire coupe section to get more visibility. Not that I have all that much faith in the North Jersey drivers as i was ignored once again this morning

 

I would like to come as well, but the Xfire is in pieces for the winter.

I need to get another one so I don't have to be without it for product development.

See you should have waited just a little long before starting those winter projects.

There is dealership up here Morris County that still has 4 or 5 sitting on the lot. Advertising 15K off sticker. There is also a lot of used one on the market. Just go for a second one. Two is always better than one.

 

So have we decided on any details as to meeting place or time?

 

Probably about 45 minutes not bad at all...

 

I'm thinking we could meet at Bear Mountain around 1:00 - 1:30pm. Hang for a little while, if the weather is good, and then cruise over to the Barnsider for a bite to eat around 3pm.

But that just my two cents worth. Open to any other suggestions.

 

Hey T-bird, we are up for a GTG. Mrs. Punkin voted for Northern NJ but I can always buy her jewery and get her to ride with me to Bear Mountian. We've been laying low for the last few months but need to get out and see the world!!!!

 

Punkin, Would be Great to see you two again. There use to be a lot of little shops in Sugar Loaf run be the local artists. Don't know if there still there, but you maybe able find something interesting for the her.
