Why don't we all meet at Chili's on route 17 in New Jersey? You really can't miss their really tall sign...What about Look See Restaurant, also on route 17, New Jersey.I must say, the Sheraton Crossroads ia a very picturesque building, though.

I found this website.....not sure if it helps anyone - http://nysparks.state.ny.us/cgi-bin/...arks.cgi?p+131

It says it will take about an hour and a half. Doesn't matter to me.....the top sounds good.

Yeah this is the perfect spot. Its right south of where we'll begin the ride.

2. Sheraton Crossroads Hotel & Towers
State Highway 17, Mahwah, NJ 07430 http://yellowpages.superpages.com/s...te=NJ&zip=07430

We can all get directions to there and meet there Sunday morning. Would you guys rather do it at 10, 1030 or 11? Either we can meet for a breakfast/brunch and do the ride... or we can each get our own breakfasts, meet there, and stop for lunch along the way. I imagine if we wanted breakfast at the Sheraton its probably good.

If anyone is getting a hotel.. find one near this Sheraton or stay at it! Lol.. Those other hotels that I listed by me are good too.. but 20-30 minutes southeast of the Sheraton.

After we meet there, we will go to the top of Bear Mountain to enjoy the view and get the fresh air for a little bit.. then we will go down the mountain and over the Bear Mountain bridge and then follow the route described in the first post link.

When we meet I'll give each car a guideline of whats planned.. including the route we are taking in case anyone gets losts or split up.

So which shall it be... breakfast/brunch, or lunch along the route?

If we all want lunch I'll get a # of whose coming, and a few days ahead of time I'll make a reservation for our group somewhere, so we can stop without a long wait or a hassle.. The towns/villages along the way are small so lunch would probably just be at a nice cozy little homecooking restaurant. I'll find out whats good and make a res there, after we have an approximate # of people who will show up.

So far its

I assume we'll all have a passenger too, let me know if it would be otherwise..

It doesn't matter to me what time we start. But lunch along the way would be nice.
Will meet at the Sheraton at any time. See you on the 15th.
I am also going on the Ocean City Cruise.

Question Re: 100 Mile Hudson River Valley Bridge Tour

OK Reservations have been made for the night of the 14th at the Sheraton.
Site address refers to being at 1 International Blvd (just off Highway 17) and the RSVP Telephone # is 1-800-325-3535.
But you mention TWO different places, one with a zip of 07495 (above) and the OTHER one is 07430 (which they don't have any info on).
QUOTE
I can only think of two places to meet.

1. Sheraton Crossroads Hotel
1 International Blvd. , Mahwah, NJ 07495 http://yellowpages.superpages.com/s...ton+Crossroads+

2. Sheraton Crossroads Hotel & Towers
State Highway 17, Mahwah, NJ 07430 http://yellowpages.superpages.com/s...te=NJ&zip=07430

The second one is a little more north.
UN-QUOTE

According to the man I talked to at (201) 529-1660..........he says there is only ONE!!!!!!!
The city of MAHWAH has a zip of 07430 and the HOTEL has a zip of 07495!!

So I'm not in the wrong Hotel...................please advise.

Cooooool. I can't wait. So we are meeting at the Mahwah Sheraton, approximately 1030-11am. Lets aim for 1030, but the departure time will be at 11am, just in case anyone is running late.

We'll stop for lunch around 1230.

The final thing to do is get an approximate # of people who are coming, and I'll make the lunch reservations.

I imagine the drive will be done around 2pm, and from there we can decide what to do. It's so fun, some of you may want to drive the same route BACKWARDS... lol.. The drive ends by West Point Military Academy so if anyone wants to check that out.. it's right there.. Unfortunately I have to go to my goddaughters confirmation party, so I'll have to leave when the ride is over.. and I imagine 2pm leaves plenty of time for those folks from farther away to get home..

REDCROSS, now that we've got everything set up nicely, make sure you tell the entire XFI community!

Tell your friends with Crossfires! Tell the driver of the next Crossfire you see!

Can't wait.

So, we should all be at the Sheraton @ 10:30 am, on Sunday, May 15th, correct?

Is this meet still going to be on if it rains?

Don't know if we'll be able to attend this one. Too bad...it sounds like a great run. I'm sure we'll hook up for future events. We're looking forward to warm weather cruises!

May 15th, 10:30am at the Mahwah Sheraton.

The final question is about rain. Honestly it probably wouldn't be that much fun doing it in the rain.. so my suggestion is we check the weather on Friday May 13th or the morning of the 14th.... and if it says rain on Sunday 15th, we can always reschedule for a weekend in June. Usually hotels require 24 hours notice for cancellations, so that would be checkin time on Saturday, probably like 3pm or whatever time checkin is...

What do you guys think of this?

Stay posted to the forum for details.
