I sit alone up here in the north wondering if anyone would like to plan on a Glacier National Park run for Crossfires?
Going to the Sun Highway is concidered to be one of the most Beautiful Drives in the WORLD.
This could be one hell of an adventure.
If not this summer how bout Fall or a plan for next?
Anyone interested please contact. I will say this is something one needs to see before going to that big wrecking yard in the sky!

Mike, Now that I know I can make Missoula in an easy day, I would be interested in that drive if my work schedule permits. Is it too late to do one this year?

Yes, but it to late in the season to plan Construction is in progress,and the pass will be snowed in by October.Late may or earlyJune shoud see Logan Pass reopen,however I belive reconstruction will be going on for several years. Why not plan a joint venture in the International Peace Park , perhapse Canada Day July 1,and Inderpendance day 4 july 2009 ???

 

I started to make a run to Glacier/Waterton today,however the National parks site has the road listed as closed between Big Bend and Jackson Glacier Overlook, construction and icy conditions are the reasons listed. I decided to take the David Thompson (Alberta 11) west and and ended up in Golden, British Columbia. I had the top down all the way, recorded -2c /28 f and went thru several snow squals.I will be searching for heat and sunshine tomorrow, Arizona sounds good but it's Canadian thanksgiving this weekend and I have to be home on Saturday, , to carve the bison
