hate their cars, their marketing strategies, their designs, and just about everything they have done...

I think they are struggling with the natural progression of growing, but they are also facing some competition from the Korean Cars (something like they did to the American cars in the 70's), improvements on other Japanese cars (Nissan, Honda, Mazda, and Subaru) as well as quality improvements on US cars.
