Anyone here a fan of the cult classic movie Vanishing Point? I hear their is a remake in the works using the ne Dodge Challenger. Supposedly they are going to release the new Challenger and the SRT version at the same time. Gonna have to get one to add to my collection.

 

Hopefully it will be better than the 1997 TV remake.

 

I thought the original movie was good. I would watch it again.

i bought it shortly after I bought my '70 RT convertible that was burnt orange w/ac am fm stereo. 383 magnum. Kept it for 6 or 7 years and sold it.

The vid by audioslave is why I got turned on to Audioslave!! I could not believe they made a vid using that movie. Anyone else wanna buy a Challenger? I jam on that song in my SRT-6!

 

I probably won't purchase a new Challenger. I like it, but I'm getting tired of the classic designs being brought back: Mustang, Camaro, Ford GT, Challenger - that's just me though.

I too rock out to some Audioslave. When 'Show me how to live' or 'Cochise' comes on, it's hard not to speed -

 

I'm just the opposite. I love it that they're bringing back the old classic designs. But then why wouldn't why? Those were the cars of my youth so naturally they bring back great memories.
Whether or not I'll get a new Challenger when it comes out, I can't say. But I'm still glad they're building it. At least it's not a 4 door like the Charger.
That video was cool, and Vanishing point is a cool movie for alot of reasons.
As I've posted before, I'd like to see em do remake of Bullitt. But this time give the Bad guys a new Challenger.

 

Word on the street is that there is going to be a new Bullitt movie.
Brad Pitt will be Bullitt. Not sure about the rides.

 

Vanishing Point is truly a cult classic. I purchased a 1970 Challenger in 1972. Drove it fully laden with family, luggage, and bicycles from San Francisco across Death Valley to New Orleans, fully expecting a meltdown in 113 degree temperature. Didn't happen. Great memories of the car but unfortunately, didn't keep it long enough.
