This discussion is as old as the XK itself - and I mean the previous generation, not just the lastest one pictured in smokey's post.

Consider that the E Type Jag had a similar oval shape to the grille and you see where the real homage is. If anything, the Taurus is a copy of the Jag design as the E Type predates the Taurus by a couple decades.



Beyond the obvious oval grilles, there is nothing else to compare when putting a Jaguar XK next to a Taurus.
