Got a Magnum R/T in my sights
Yes, my Crossfire is for sale (and has been for months), but I don't think I can bring myself to actually get rid of it (even if I could find a buyer). Sadly, my wife has to drive it 2-3 days a week because I have to pick up the kids on the days she works 12 hour shifts. Since I can't (legally) fit two kids and myself in the Crossfire, I'm stuck with the minivan (while a nice vehicle for its purpose, it is still a minivan). Now that I am spoiled by the XF's torque, but still enjoy the utility of the minivan, I am considering trading the van in on a used Magnum R/T so I'm not completely bored on the days I have kid duty. I test drove one today and might go for it.
Can I get a "hell yeah" anyone?

Get some SRT headers, predator and a Sidewinder cam and you will be in the low 13's. I have a 300c and it's a yacht for sure, but I love driving it. I drool over the looks of the Magnum but the interior...... disappointing. I hope you don't drive much in traffic because mileage will be painful. On the highway you can expect 24 mpg or so.

Go SRT. If it's fun and utility you are after, the SRT has it. And if the kids start fighting in the back seat, you will have the horsepower to scare them silence meanwhile putting a massive grin on your face. And the SRT is just damn hot looking too...that is my only other Chrysler choice atm aside from the Viper...but that will still take a few years work to obtain. In the meantime, if I can find a nice SRT8 Magnum, in black....I'm going after it.
Save your life...smash the minivan!!!!

Haha! Looks like I got lots of support! Okay, so they let me take it overnight yesterday. I managed almost 23 mpg round trip to work. The kids were surprised when I picked them up at the sitters in it. Oh, and punching it won't scare them silent...these are my kids and, like me, they are addicted to speed. In fact, pulling out of the sitter's driveway, my 5 y.o. daughter told me to go fast, then they both giggled with excitement when I complied.
Anyway, I think something was wrong with the steering and front suspension on this one and the interior smelled funky (not sure if it was smelly dog, body odor, or what). But after all, we are deciding to wait at least 6 months to a year. I'd love to get the SRT-8, but they come at a steeper price if you can manage to find one.
So false alarm. I had my head in the clouds, but this story is to be continued...
