Would be interesting to know the rest of the chassis number on this car. I believe Justin (Z28toXFire) could confirm that even the Shelby Cobra "Continuation Cars" have the CSX chassis numbers (the company he works for builds them for Carroll Shelby, using the same frame construction methods described in the video). Something about the suspension components on that thing just looked too "brand spanking new" to have been sitting around since the mid '60s.
Even so, netting $30k for a $Zero investment is nothing to sneeze at (and I think that price is pretty spot on for a "continuation" body and chassis. I think.

On the "Pawn Stars" episode (Dec. 2009) the only thing that the tow guy got was the unpainted aluminum body and chassis with the CSX designation. When he sold it to the pawn shop for $35K the car did not have the following...front and rear suspension, engine, transmission and interior. The pawn shop owners had the restoration done and spent $110K (including the purchase of the body/chassis) if memory serves, while it was a body off restoration it was not a Shelby Cars restoration, it was done by Nevada Classics. Many believe it to be a "continuation car" and can be easily verified. There are two things in the episode that I find strange:
1) Shelby Cars is located very near to the Pawn Shop, it should have been taken there for authentication/appraisal rather than Nevada Classics.
2) The name on the tow truck that brought the car into pawn shop parking lot said "Nevada Classics" on the side (at least on the TV show) the sign on the tow truck is only visible for a few seconds.
