FP was in my home town in the 4th of July parade today.
He was driving the VW and his wife was riding with him.
He was among other VW club members from www.HarshWintersVW.com
I went to see the parade and took these pics this morning....

Awesome build! Looks great! The new 2012 Vw bug looks alot like the original, the flater roof line and longer front end. Aain , Nice work!
Just got the August issue of Car & Driver. On Page 24, there is an article reviewing the Beetle and how it's changed from original design to upcoming version. Near the top is a picture of an older Beetle that looks exactly like FP's restoration. How 'bout that!
Thanks for posting the pics Valky..
Thanks for the comments guys....
Just added the fog lights.

I attended a car show and cruise organized by the Antique Cars of America last Sunday. There were so many beautiful cars, fom old Jags and Model Ts to some great American classics. The event was covered by the Daily Harold. I had no expectations my Bug would be noticed among so many great cars. To my surprised the reporter from the Harold sought me out, and told me he was attracted to my Bug and was interested in feature it in his column. He interviewed me briefly but followed up during the week, and yesterday we had a photo shoot and video shoot. What I thought would be a 30 minute excersise took 5 hours. My Bug will be featured in the Daily Harold sometime in February.

Well I just got word Friday my Bug will be featured in next Sunday's paper. Here is a preview of their online feature for next week's publication. The interview was conducted in November, and queued up for Spring.

She's a beauty with a nice family heritage. I'll bet your uncle was thrilled with your interest in his car.
