What I sold to buy my XF
well I'm new here and as you can tell by the name I am into Subarus. I have owned 25 of them. Here is a pic (not my car but exactly like the one I had). It is a 1995 Subaru SVX AWD. I loved the car but I wanted to try something different so I sold it and started shopping for a Crossfire. Here is a pic

Here is a pic of what I daily drive. It is a 2006 Subaru Baja AWD 5 speed. My friends call it my "half assed pickup"

Subarus are not very popular down south but I hear they are up north. I'd say a Crossfire would definitely be an upgrade. Good luck on your quest.
Bought my XF in June of '09. Sold my 2003 Grand Cherokee about a month later. The trade in offers on my jeep where laughable. Took a gamble and bought the XF with hopes of selling the jeep shortly there after, for which I did. It was well worth not trading it in.

Jimmy (buffit) has 1 or 2 and another for sale. Let me guess, not very much body to have to keep clean?
WELCOME to the forum!
Where are you going to pick up the XF?
What did ya get?
I sold my 1970 Chevelle Convertible to pay for my roadster.
Now I'm trying to sell my 1965 Chevelle SS to pay for a XF for the wife.

I traded in my 2007 MazdaSpeed6 (turbo 4) for my SRT6 after I got blown off the road by one in ATL. I had to have one and the local Chrysler dealership had one that just got pelted with hail. I took my speed6 up to get it appraised, some fatty jumped into the driver's seat, missed reverse and threw it into 1st (manual), straight into the truck in front of it. Killer deal after that and killer car in my driveway.

I didn't sell anything. I waited until I paid off my CR-V to buy my XF. It was kind of a 5 year plan. I bought the CR-V because that year model is statistically the best car Honda ever made (in terms of number of repairs needed). After I paid off the CR-V I kept making my payments to myself for 10 months (it was supposed to be 1 year but I cheated) while I was looking for the XF I wanted. The payments that I made to myself for those 10 months let me save up enough of a down payment to keep my XF payments the same as the previous CR-V payment. I figured that the CR-V will last long enough for me to pay off the XF & the XF is under warranty for the whole loan term so no unexpected repair bills on that car at least. My plan is working great & will be ok as long as people stop running into the CR-V. We were just in our 3rd accident in 18 months on Wednesday. That little truck is a trooper!!!
I bet you guys didn't know I was such a planner!!! lol

The Crossfire is the first car I ever owned - I saw one on the road back in 04 and liked it - but the time wasn't right.
I purchased a new 06' Limited in 07' and got great financing from Chrysler - I sold it three months (and 2K miles) later to CarMax for the balance of the loan, cashed in the Extended Warranty (that had been financed) and paid cash for a new (auctioned) SRT6 for about the same price from a dealer in Ill.
I think I was out $2,600 on the trade up plus shipping fees to have it trucked to CA.
Best deal I ever made.. It sure doesn't handle like any of the trucks I've owned.
