Other Cars Etc The Crossfire isn't the only car out there. Discuss all the others in here.

I had a '57 Ford 2 door stationwagon w/ 352. Now here's a real stroll down memory lane... It had a Dempsy Wilson Cam, Sig Erison lifters, Jans 11.5:1 popup pistons and a Borg Warner T10 4 speed and Mickey Thompson Cheater slicks. Every Wed. night was grudge night at Lions. I spent many Wed.s there. Those were some really great times.

Hun.... If you were driving a MOPAR you more than likely did kick my butt. I got it kicked by a bunch of them. I made up for that by driving my midget or my sprint car (offenhauser powered) at ASCOTT on Saturday nights.

I started racing 1/4 midgets when I was 6 years old. The first track was in Lawndale and then in 1959 we built a new track at 190th and Normandy. I raced there until 1967 when I was old enough to get a USAC licence and then raced at ASCOTT in Midgets and Sprints until July 1969 when I went into the service. I only had a few races after I came back from Viet Nam and my last race was in York, Pa. I wrecked my Sprinter and had a spinal compression injury. The Army took my Comander's release and told me that if I wanted to race I had to get out of the Army. Since I was getting paid for that job and I had a wife a kid and my Sprinter was pretty well totalled it was no-brainer... Racing was out and Flying was in.

Now that I've bored the stuffing out of everyone.... But' it was a fun trip down memory lane.
