2012 Buick GS... (with pics)...
I may be crazy but I really like this car in person... something I may entertain in the near future...
The preferred package with the polished 20's:

I would take my order in white... auto trans (mid year production)... with the optional 20's (the 19's shown below)... no sunroof...
(and of course no front plate or rear badges and eibach springs for a 1" enhanced stance). My washed out pics don't do this car justice.

You're not crazy - I like it too (or maybe that just means we're both crazy!). I think that much in same way Cadillac has turned itself around, Buick is doing much the same thing. Sure, this may be an Opel Insignia with Buick badges on it, and sure, Saturn was put down after basically selling rebadged Opels, but I think Buick has a better chance with these more upscale editions of the various Opel models. Opel makes a really cool little hot hatch in the new Astra (2012 Opel Astra OPC gets 280 horsepower, 155 mph top speed) that could easily be a rival to cars like the VW GTI, MINI Cooper S, and Audi A3 as a premium small car. Same design language inside and out, which isn't a bad thing at all.
IMO, they look much better in person. The new Regals are certainly the best looking Regal that Buick ever built. They are no longer your Daddy's Buick.
I saw a similar one with factory ground affects...didn't even know they had that...Buick is on a run for sure....not just for the over 60 crowd anymore...lol...neither is the Caddie....
Couldn't agree more, especially about the car looking good in white. I think that come spring this car is going to be sitting in my driveway instead of the Crossfire, and I can't wait for spring.

First I've seen of it. Interior is very nice. Car looks like every other current computer generated 4 door sedan. Put Nissan, Toyota, any other badges on it and it would be one. I'd rather not have to memorize my tag number to find my car in the parking lot. Already have to do that with my Suburban.
But the interior is very nice.

I like the Buick, the Caddy's, but I'm going back to a Jeep Grand Cherokee if a few years, if not late next year. I had an SRT8 for a short time, and I really like the new ones....4 doors, 4 wheel drive, and 4 cylinders for me and 4 cylinders for her=one fast SUV....lol...
I'll have to admit to being behind the times a little. I do have a four door car for Sunday.
The bad thing is, the new ones run circles around it, and get triple the fuel mileage. I think a photo is attached.

Other than wrong wheel drive, I'm a fan of everything Buick has done since the Enclave. The Lacrosse is sharp looking and the Regal is far better than anything that wore the name in the past. Even the power trains are competitive. I wouldn't be embarrassed to own a Buick these days.
Also check out the new Buick Verano. Damned nice looking compact sedan (especially the interior) on an Opel Delta platform shared with the Chevy Cruze. It's no longer just badge engineering at GM. Buick has done a nice job of differentiating the Verano from its lowly cousin. And with the 2.0L turbo 4, this should be one nice high quality small sedan. I knew GM could produce something like this. Why did it take a near death experience to beetch slap some life into them? I've always been amazed that no one really seemed to want to bring a premium small car to market in the past. Cars like this are a step in the right direction for me.

This has been sold in Europe for a few years under the Opel/Vauxhall badges, specifically the Insignia with the VXR package. Just like the Pontiac G8 was a rebadged Holden Monaro, and the Saturn Aura was a Vauxhall Astra. Saves millions in development costs. With that being said, however, the "Buick" GS is a nice looking car and am glad they are trying to appeal to a wider range of buyers.
~ well i finally had the chance to drive the gs today... the outcome wasn't as i hoped.
the positives: unique exterior looks, interior layout, supportive seats, brembo brakes, gs design bits.
the negatives: extremely disappointing performance; no thrill acceleration (feels like a 9 second car 0-60).
i would of expected the gs regal (270 hp) to have some get up and go... and it's just not there... full throttle performance feels asthmatic.
oh well... the gs looks good in pics. (my current car parked next to it)...

my friend drove the car as well... and his feelings were mutual.
