Default Telsa problems

I've heard that Tesla has a problem with their cars if the battery is discharged too far. The car becomes a "brick". It can't even be pushed by hand!

I understand the car has to be put on a dolly or dragged up the flatbed truck. It can't be pushed; the wheels won't turn. Anybody have any idea why the car can't be pushed?

I hope they're not that dumb, but you never know.

This was in the news and on a few websites. Some folks are worried that it could happen to the Chevy Volt.

I was just wondering why the car can't even be pushed??? Is the drive train locked up, somehow?

A follow-up article was released the next day. It turns out that the guy that wrote the article and the owner of the car have a sizable history together. The owner drained the battery and then let the car sit for 6 weeks. The owners manual says do not do this!
But then again, its always someone else's fault.

Tesla bricked battery story may have a short circuit

What this car needs is a set of goverment subsidized solar panels to assist in charging the battery. nevermind the company I was thinking of is out of business. Solyndra....................

Thanks, guys!..........I like the solar panel idea!
180, it's been almost one year since I re-soldered my RCM. I was stuck at a traffic light, but at least my XF wasn't "bricked". It could still be pushed out of the intersection. Whew!
