Default NEW Car In The Family

My wife has been saying for a while that we needed a new daily driver. We've paid off the PT Cruiser and it needs some repairs so we are going to start using it strictly as the "grocery getter". As such, we needed a new commuter car.

Went to the local Scion dealer this morning and three hours later, brought home a brand new 2012 Scion IQ. Neat little car and you can't go wrong with Toyota quality. Lot's of nice bells and whistles, 11 air bags, and even has nice get up and go with less than 100 horsepower. It's a 3+1 which means you can fit three adults and a car seat.

I'll post up some pics when my wife uploads them from the camera. It looks exactly like this:

My sentiments exactly. What size of adults are we talking here? Adult midgets, maybe, actual full sized normal American adults, no freekin way! Adult rabbits, sure I believe it!

Uh...not really. The sales guy was at least three hundred pounds and fit in the back seat. Wife in the passenger seat, me in the driver's seat. I was terrible with math in school, but last I checked, two adults plus one adult is three adults.

The back seats fold flat to increase cargo capacity from zero to some.

An example of a full size passenger in the back seat (for the non-believers)

Quoted from the article:
"...we sat a 6′-2″ adult comfortably in the right rear seat (see picture), while at the same time a 6′ adult (me) was able to sit in the front passenger seat."

I was just razz'n ya. Enjoy your new whip

Did you take video of the 300 lb salesman trying to get out of the back?

I like the matte black. Plasti-Dip the hubcaps and make it completely stealth.

My favorite editorial on this car is "The IQ is less dumb than the Smart".
