I would add something but frankly do not know what to say. Except,,,,I didn't think the Italians had it in them to try.

Ear-splitting video of the “600-hp-plus” 2015 Challenger Hellcat revving. And it sounds like—well, just listen for yourself. All I can say is that I need a smoke.

That should be an easy low 11 second car with just a set of drag radials. Add a tune, pulley, and a few supporting mods and I wouldn't be surprise to see low 10's or even very high 9's. It's about damn time SRT had something to pit against the CTS-V, GT 500, etc, beside the uber expensive Viper.

My thoughts as well.

Wait until they start slapping smaller pulleys on there...

boy! that looks to good to be true,, now we need to see the price. if it is not more than the expensive Viper,
I think it will be in the $80,000.00 range and for that much i will keep my V8 crossfire for less than half of the cost. yes helcat is a new car ,,getting a better ride, in fact everything thing about the car will be better, except for the cost. jim

Even the Ford guys are liking it: Hellcat = 707Hp

The concensus over there is high 10's stock.

With all that horse power, look like they would have allowed extra fenderwell room for wider tires. Squirrel Crusher

What surprises me is the fact that they would build this car with that much more horsepower than the Viper. The Viper has always been the top rung of the Dodge performance ladder Makes me wonder if a 800, 900 or even a 1000 HP Viper is in the works or, is this the last generation of the Viper. Both are too rich for my blood and with 600+ much less 700+ HP I probably could not get out of my own driveway without killing myself.

You can almost certainly add another 20 or 30 grand "Dealer Markup" to that.

Base price is $59k. They will sell everyone they make, question is how many will they make? There are alot of butthurt 13/14 GT500 owners to, some how resorted to talking how the shelby handles better. Sound like ZL1 owners when the 13/14 gt500 came out.

707 HP for $59K is nuts.. there are a lot of stupid people with money that are going to get themselves in trouble real quick

And its a very economical choice: for perspective, the Hellcat is $84.72 per hp whereas a Nissan Versa is $109.17 per hp.

Wow, didn't see that coming. That's a great power-to-penny ratio.
