What car does the new Hemi Charger remind you of?

Looks like Chrysler is making their cars all look too similar, kind of like Cadillac does. All their vehicles look the same. I like cars that look different than all the others, that's what makes them cool!
I thought they were making the charger in a 4 door? and I thought that suck'd. U sure this is a charger? Maybe I'm thinking of something else.

I don't think that is the production Charger; if it's a Charger, it must be a pre-production concept. The Charger I saw was a lot different.

That's not the Charger. Here's the info from Dodge. I'm not that crazy about it.

If you have enough money, I guess you can get one now.

Hey! I'm not maken this up! It was a suprise to me too, but, it is in the fall Road & Track's SPEED fall 2004 edition, page 22 under the Scoop Zone. I agree that it is not what Dodge says is the new Charger now, but, it says in this edition that it is the 2006 Charger and it doesn't look like anything else with the Dodge emblem on the front! (on the original you can clearly see the RAM emblem) It also says it will be using the Hemi from the Magnum Wagon. They also said to look for rappers and athletes to be all over this one! Matches what C_Plunket 's news article says. They also say scetches have be sent to Nascar as a repalcement for the intrepid in the Daytona 500. Go Figure!
PS I like it!

It must have been an early Charger concept. I've seen at least one other design that was called a Charger at some point. The gallery on the Dodge website shows the Nascar Charger body suspended above and behind the production car. I like the Nascar version better.

C_Plunkett
I see what you mean about the Nascar body. Either way, I think that the Charger needs to be a street available 2 door with a Hemi. I feel that they watered down the car as a 4 door.
Kinda like if Ford but out the new Mustang in a 4 door.
PS. How do you feel about the Grand Am looks of the GTO? GM appears to have got too cheap to develop a new body for the lengendary GTO. If they used a retro body of lets say... a 67-69 Camaro or Firebird!!!!!!

Yea They totally blew the GTO!! GM seems to be going down hill. We've always bought GM's because my Dad retired from GM and we get the disscount, but Chrysler cars have it all over GM. I think we might be looking at a 300C, maybe wait till spring for the 6.1L. Who knows. All I know is that I'm not willing to depend on driving the XF here in the winter and my daughter might need her Grand Prix back next winter. We have too many fair weather cars.

I agree that GM definitely blew the looks of the GTO. The chassis had great potential, especially the '05 with 400hp. The body just looks too plain. I have seen some concept drawings of a retro styled Camaro. That would be pretty sweet. Maybe GM is finally learning something from the other guys.

Here's the early Charger concept. It's still a 4 door, but better looking that the production version.

Dido! That concept is closer to the one that I posted also, probably just something in between and a journalist assumed it was the production model.
If you get a chance to post the pics of the retro Camaro, I would live to see them.

Apparently GM hasn't officially released any shots of their concept for a Camaro, but there are a few artist renderings floating around supported by people with "close connections" to GM for what that's worth. Looks a lot like a first gen to me.

Thanks C_Plunket
I like the front end of the red one but not so much on the orange one. Interesting about the Camaro plant being torn down though.

I agree, I think the orange one looks a little too much like a mustang.
