I sotted an AMG GT Mercedes Coupe the other day. I couldn't help but think of the Eric Stoddard sketches of the next generation Crossfire.

It, of course, never happened.

But he did post some rending's on the Forum back in June of 2013.

I don't think it works but I cannot find it in old threads either.

With the exception of the front overhang being larger on the Benz, it is ( in my view) a really close comparison.

I do wonder what became of Stoddard's plans to build one. Or a kit.

 

Even has the pop-up spoiler, just like our old Crossie.

 

There is definitly a lot of similarities.
