Default Mercedes retro roadster

What a beautiful car. Found on FB. One poster said the following, not sure if it is dead on accurate but I"ll take a chance and share it:
"This project started out with the bare shell of a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster that was then transplanted onto the chassis of a 2002 Mercedes SLK. Key inspiration was taken from the iconic Porsche Speedster in creating the car, so much so that it actually features the windshield from a Speedster.
It has air suspension so it can be raised and lowered.
Powering the car is a supercharged AMG-sourced V6 engine."

I don't know if this is a "concept" car or actual production.

The last retro Mercedes did was with our beloved Chrysler Crossfire. It too was matched to a 2002 SLK chassis. Great car, I have two, but the divorce of Chrysler and Mercedes ruined it's appeal and sales. Over 6 years, only about 80,000 were built.

The supercharged AMG V6 is amazing. Unfortunately, it does not come matched to a six speed manual shifter.

If this goes into production, the Porsche windscreen will likely have to go as it will not pass safety specs for rollover.

Definitely some Shelby Cobra inspiration in there, too.
