Re: Buick Riviera
I don't know I think they should keep the name. I wasn't even old enough to realize what was going on when the Riviera was in its heyday but I have seen many and the original car has classic lines and styling reminding me much of a Jaguar when I see it. With a low slung hood, squinted headlamps, and dual exhaust, the Riviera looks like it could fit in a model line up for 2008 with a few alterations IMO. Its a beautiful car and if I were Buick I would bring it back. Their models have been improving... kind of... actually they are still missing alot of styling cues prospective buyers want to see, but quality and styling overall has improved by leaps and bounds in the past few years. A fleet leading sport coupe i.e. the Riviera could be just what Buick needs to free itself from the stone age pretense and bad karma that have surrounded the brand for years. I think I read somewhere that Buick sells the lowest number of vehicles per dealer lot out of all car brands sold in the US.
