Default To "Z" or not to "Z"

Check out the new 370 Z:

http://jalopnik.com/5084319/2009-nis...sign-dissected

I've never been much of a fan of the 350Z's styling, but I have to say I do like this new one quite a bit.
But if I could afford another car right now, those brand new 1/2 priced 08 Crossfires would be awfully hard to pass up.

I think it looks great. It reminds me of the original Datsun. Too bad the interior looks like legos assembled by a child, and fiberglassed by some custom shop.

+1 for exterior

-1 for interior

Why not go all out and get the Nissan G-TR? It only starts at $77k +. But it does have 480hp.

+fire's hood looks great. It's even better in person. I don't think it looks like that at all.

Alex, I agree, (about the old Z's interior) but from this photo,http://jalopnik.com/photogallery/nis...zof/1004252505
I don't think the new one looks that bad.

Inferno, personally I like the looks of the new Z better than the G-TR.
Besides, my Dodge has 450 h.p. and even though it's a few 10ths. slower than the Super Nissan, It's waaay better lookin IMO.

It looks good, but the three pods above the center cluster look like an afterthought. They remind me of frog eyes.

My first thought when I looked at the back end was.......talk about a fat a$$.....holy cow. I like the interior also, except for the odd 3 gauges sitting all popped out on top of the dash.

Mike, I totally missed that. No improvement on the rear end that's for sure.
But as Franco Bertollini (Raul Julia) in the movie "The Gumball Rally" said as he ripped the rearview mirror off the windshield of the Ferrari.
"What's behind us, does not matter".

I am luke warm on the now body style but the like FP said the two tone interior is nice.

Now for reality. You could get a new '08 (half price), have the interior custom done anyway you like and keep that unique hood that you spent "...more than you want to admit...", have a far more classic design that still turns heads and still have a wad of cash in your pocket compared to wasting, uhh spending money on a new Z.

Karl, read my first post. I believe I said pretty much the same thing, and I've never had any problem with the Crossfires interior. As a matter of fact, I flat out LOVE our cedar/slate.
On a side note, it's good to have you back, I hope you're feeling better.

Re-read the post. Clear now. Was afraid we might lose you. A thought like that could put me into relapse!

It might be my next car if it does all the things my crossfire doesnt, of course its going to be a couple of years. Maybe I'll go for a test drive when they hit the streets.

I saw the new Z at the Orlando Auto Show last weekend and I liked it. I'd still take a supercharged SRT-6 over it any day of the week, especially with the price! I used to own a 300ZX TT which I liked very much since it had 341 whp and 351 wtq with just a few mods.

Man I just don't think you will ever find the style and HP for the price of our cars...never...there are a lot of cars I really like...but the price allows me to mod this car anyway I want and stay close on HP....so, I sticking w/ this little beauty forever...
