Your next car...
My next car won't be a replacement for my Crossfire - that's my weekend toy and I absolutely love it. Took a nice drive along the coast today, top down of course (72 degrees here in SoCal today) and it was the only Crossfire I saw the whole time. 2 Maseratis, more Porsche 911s and Boxsters than you can shake a stick at, and the Ferraris were out in force today!! A handful of Bentleys and plenty of AMG Benzes as well. No matter though, all of those are out of my price range. I'm stickin' with the Crossfire for many, many years to come as my weekend toy.
The next car due for replacement will probably be my daily driver, a 2004 PT Cruiser Turbo that currently has just 51,000 miles on it (completely trouble free, I might add). With the Stage 1 upgrade and a few other bits I've outrun Mustang GTs on the strip with it (admittedly, Mustang GTs driven by fairly poor drivers, but hey, you don't win based on what the car should do, eh?) Crazy as it may sound, I'm seriously thinking about a Fiat 500 Abarth as a replacement for the PT, but I'm still enjoying the hell out of this car, it's long since paid for, and it runs like a top. So..... replacing it is likely a few years off.
I am prone to mood swings though, so when I do get to thinking about replacing the PT my mind runs to the following:
Fiat 500 Abarth as previously mentioned
Mustang GT
Lightly used Mercedes C300
Lightly used BMW 3 Series
Mazda 3
Used Jaguar S-Type R
VW GTI
Or I get really nutty and start thinking about something really old but very well cared for - an old Mercedes SL or a BMW E30, maybe even a late '80s Saab 900 Turbo or a Porsche 944.
Basically though, all this can be summed up quite simply: Hell if I know!!!

Ugh. I hate even thinking about my next car. It's gonna have to replace my daily driver, so it won't be too much fun. It also has to be C-H-E-A-P! So I'll probably either buy something used like a VW GTI, a used Mini, or maybe a used Crossfire Limited - it would be nice to have a stick... but the rear-wheel-drive cars won't get me to work in ten inches of snow. AWD would be nice, but I'm not into Subarus and I don't want to have to drive a 10 year old BMW or Mercedes (because that's how old it would need to be for me to afford it!)
The trouble is that I think my next car is coming sooner than I want it too. My current daily driver is on its last legs. 115k on the odometer, rust is taking its toll, and all it will take is one major repair to be more costly than its worth... ugh.
FP: A Cadillac? Really? When did you retire?
Max: A VW CC?!? Looks like an old man car to me. And for $27k starting price, you should get a 370z instead. You're too cool for a VW CC.

BMW 335i xDrive Coupe, 300hp, pure fun, winter driver with style (throw in an aftermarket real CF dash kit) ...because it's my wife's pick for our next car...and I'm willing to suffer.

Cadillacs are NOT.
I always say what ever car I presently own will be the one I keep forever, but it always falls through. But for some reason my XF is holding fast to the one I WILL keep. Thats ironic because when I first bought her I had severe buyers remorse and couldnt see keeping it long. After getting info on the forum and a few mods and throphies I know its a keeper.
Most likely we will replace our 07 caliber with an FJ cruiser or a mini cooper wagon (non turbo)
Dream car...porsche cayman s

For the first time in a long time I can't say I have really thought much about another car after the crossfire. Part of it has to due with the fact that I don't want to buy something until the car is paid off. Once it's paid off, things in my life could be quite a bit different than they are now. I could need a sedan. Or want another sports car. Or keep both the corrado and crossfire and buy a tow vehicle to take the corrado to track days. I'd really like a VW t-reg V6 TDI. But I also like a ton of fun cars as well. I think it might be most reasonable to get car #3 in the end. Any new and/or additional car purchase is likely 3-4 years away though.
well it looks like my next car could be a LOT closer than I thought - unfortunately it won't be a 2010 'Maro lol
turns out the s/o doesn't really like driving in the XF and feels a little claustrophobic in it
so while she's not asking me to sell it is something I'm giving serious thought to... If it does go it'll end up in a weird contest between:
1988 Camaro Iroc Z (again... that would be my 7th one)
Mini cooper S
1992 TransAm GTA
1998 TransAm WS6 ram-air
1999 2 wheel drive Chevy Silverado (single or crew-cab)
2000 Harley Davidson F150, stepside (non-supercharged one)
order is least popular 1st.... next few months will see what happens

Given that I am fortunate enough to still have my current job when the time comes, (and able to hang on to the XF) I am almost 100% set on a Prowler. Like the XF, I have loved them since day 1. If for some unknown reason
that does not work out.........Pre-owned Cayman. What can I say, I'm a slave to impracticality. lol
Been eyeing a 2003 M3 Coupe.....but yall know me I change every month.. here's my list
03 M3 Coupe-preferbly silver / red interior
Z4 Coupe-preferbly white
SRT10 Dodge Ram 2door- would need a beater car also
recently added to mix Caliber SRT4-may have a kid on the way soon?
maybe just maybe Terminator Cobra 03-wanna matte black finish the whole car wheels and all.

If you can free yourself up to attend, Iamfink2 is driving in from your neck-of-the-woods.

Hmmmmmm......... anything you care to share with the class?
At this point in time there is no way that I will be getting rid of the Xfire. What I am looking at is the new MB C63 AMG. My daughter-in-laws father has one that I have driven. What a total blast at a price that is hard to believe for this class of car.
It has 451 hp and a 4.5 second 100 km/h - It is the first larger car that sticks the way the Xfire can. 2010 unit at $63.5 K Canadian
