Which is good. At least for my kids.
They can sell it to help pay the inheritance taxes.
Then my son, who helped build the business and our estate in the first place, can keep some of the fruit of his effort.
Though I doubt it will show up at Barret Jackson's.

Yes it is an old one. On purpose. No printed circiuts in the electronics. A simple machine.
My neighbor in Hippie ridge has an older D9 and is a diesel Cat mechanic. I'll be fine with older machinery and if I'm in over my head, he will be right there to help. No worries.
Ask around 'cause I would gladly spread some wealth to your hard workin' friends.
I'ts about 400 miles from Decatur IL to Springfield MO.

Gonna pick my new roadster up this coming Fricay. First real break inthe weather.
Doc, thanks for tryin' but it looks likeI'm gointo do it with my current trailer.
Two 6500 Axles, one with electric brakes. Designed to carry 10, 500 lbs net load weight. The unit is 9,450 Lbsand the backhoe is 1,500. I am justover design limits. But if I load the tonge with about 1,500 of it I should be fine.
For historical reference ( or histerical stupidity) I have had four 2,800 Lb loads of block on the trailer with another one in the bed of the one ton Dodge. Total of 14,000 lbs load and the 3,000lbs of trailer. It was a scary but uneventful trip from Des Moines to my house.
I did 23,700 GVW twice from Altlanta to St Louis using this equipmet. Again scary but I survived an uneventful, albeit stressful, 12 hour drive.
Mostly, I worry about Black ice on I-55.

REAL TRUCKS HAVE DUALLY WHEELS, MANUAL SHIFTERS AND SAY "CUMMINS" ON THE SIDE.
ANYTHING ELSE IS A PEECUP.

I will just take it easy, load the tongue heavy to reduce whiptail and keep the speed under 55 MPH.
I 55 is very flat. So is IL 48 up to Decatur. Big issue is going down to Springfield MO and then the goat trail into my ranch. If the trip to St louis is dicey I will shift strategies.
I have had this rig/combo since 1998 so we know each other well. I should be fine.

Come drink some bourbon with Molly and I, Doc
Got the thing to St Louis OK. Only had one tire blow up. Tore up a fender and the licence plate.
Did you know if you hit it hard enough one can drive a 16 dp nail through fender steel to rivet something back together?
I know, I know. But, I was out of duct tape.
Only 240 miles to go.
