What gets me is, where did he find a differential to handle a normally 5-10 mph drive train gearing to do that kind of speed? Also, not being an engineer, but the torque resistance of those size of tires must be massive...can't beleive that he's not blowing something up.

The reason hes getting good speed out of the tractor is because for example in top gear, the original diesel engine redlined at say 3200rpm for a top speed of 20~mph.. that Volvo engine in there is probably hittin 8000 = top speed of 50mph.. scarry stuff!
