Default What did you do to your non Crossfire today

Saw this on another forum I visit and thought we could try it here.

Not to long ago my Cherokee went over the 100,000 mile mark so I have been doing quite a bit of fixin on it. Being on vacation the last ten days gave me a chance to address things like a new headliner, cooling system flush, oil change, tranny fluid change, t-case fluid change, lube and a tire rotation.

Today I turned my attention to detailing it. Washed, clay barred, waxed, polished and tire shined the exterior. Wiped down the interior, vacuumed and then worked on the door jambs and the engine compartment. Started at 9:00 am and finished around 8:30 this evening but, to be honest only about five of those hours were spent working on the Jeep.

Took a lunch and dinner break plus I made a trip to a boat dealer and picked up a 303 convertible top kit. That's a job for another day. For a fifteen year old Jeep it looks great, I am thinking of taking it to show this weekend.

Replaced the camshaft position sensor in my 2004 PT Cruiser Turbo. CEL came on during the drive home and with anything beyond just a slight dip of the throttle the car would buck like a wild bull. I limped home the last couple of miles, checked codes, ordered the part from the dealer ($55), picked it up on the way home the next day (drove the Crossfire to work that day) and installed it in about 10 minutes. Problem solved.

Changed oil in 2003 Sears 42" riding mower and 20" Lawnboy 4 stroke self propelled mower, removed and pressure washed 50" deck on 2006 Cub Cadet RZT, ordered new deck belt and 3 idler pulley assemblies.

That was a lot of work, I filled the gas tank of the mower and now the wife is cutting the lawn.

She needs the exercise and it does her good to get out of the house and get away from the housework for twenty minutes or so.

hi,,
Let's see, yesterday, the day before really, Jeff (Rocketchip) gave it a custom tune. Today I dropped it off for an alignment with my new tires and newly re-rebuilt suspension. Tommorow, well Friday really, I will give it a good long Italian tune up on the way to Sacramento.

~ Picked up again on the 74 Vega GT hatchback project tracing electrical issues with the instrument cluster harness. Checked out lighting, blower, cig.ltr, radio, side markers, headlights. When all checks out, it will be time to start the motor for the first time. A 98 GM 4.3 vortek .030 over , RV cam, 500 Eddelbrock, Edelbrock intake, 4sp. Saginaw, 3:73 panhard type rear from Cosworth vega, Torque arm alongside of the drive shaft. S-10 spindles for 15 inch wheels and brakes, S-10 rear axles and brakes, hydraulic throw out bearing replaces cable clutch. 77 Pontiac Sunbird air conditioning evap coil under dash to make room for the 4.3. Ford Festiva electric radiator fan. Volkswagen snap-cover type fuse system for auxillary circuits. A real Franken-Vega.

~ 74-Vega-GT- Replaced turn signal switch under the steering wheel, replaced heavy duty flasher with std. duty flasher, this fixed the dim side marker and turn signal issue.
~ Concentrating on first start up of motor.
