Anyone here own a Jeep Wrangler?
I've been wanting one and finally found the perfect one already loaded up with after market goodys. It's an 04 with only 14k miles on it. It has both tops, auto, a/c, 4.0 six, 33x12.50 tire and the spare tire and wheels match, chrome tubular side steps and bumpers, chrome mirror covers, chrome windsheild hinges, reciever hitch. So I now own 3 convertibles!
My brother had one years ago and lifted the crap out of it.
Everytime we went for a drive I had to hold on to keep from bouncing out of the jeep.
Upon arrival to our destination I usually had a slamming headache. I don't know what kind of lift kit he used, but don't use that one.
I've always wanted one too, I kind of like the new 4 door model.

I own one, a 2006 Rubicon. It's my 3rd Jeep. To top it off I used to work @ Quadratec. If you don't know who that is check this out:

I own a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4-door (JK).
This is my 5th Jeep vehicle.
Very pleased with it and it also has a great ride. With 4wd it goes anywhere! I was amazed by it's performance in the snow this winter and in the soft beach sand last summer.
Great truck! I love it!

I've had several Jeep Wranglers over the years (leases), as well as many Grand Cherokees, Libertys & Commanders. They've all been great, particularly in the winter, but you'll get to know your local gas station owners on a 1st name basis very soon (all around 15 mpg combined driving).
Currently drive a Patriot in addition to the X-Fire.
Enjoy your new Wrangler - Nice summer days with the top down or off are a blast.

I had a '95 Wrangler Rio Grande edition from '95-'01. Loved it, hated the &$^ty reliability.
Lost first 5 speed trans at 54k miles. 2nd at 85k miles. After that, I was done.
Apparently there was an issue with (I think) the transmissions (AX-15) in the 92-95 4 cylinders. Seems it was a faulty oil slinger.
I will probably own another one someday, but it won't be a 4 cyl.

I love the wranglers, really want an 04 unlimited. I have a 2000 cherokee lifted, and wife drives a 2005 grand cherokee. I love Jeeps! I like the new ones, but hate the motor they put in it, its the minivan motor.
quadratec is great, have ordered a few parts from them.

I have a 2006 Wrangler Rubicon. Got two sets of tires, one winter tires and the other the OEM tires, which I have found too slippery for all the rain and slick roads here in Seattle. The Jeep is virtually unstoppable on all manner of terrain. Love it!

Yeah I was suprised to see people saying they liked the 4 door model. I dont and have never spoken to anyone that does. when I told friends I was going to buy a Jeep everyone said just dont buy that ugly 4 door model.
My wife owns a 95 Wrangler, lifted and all kinds of crap. I used to hate it but then I didn't want to drive my cars this winter due to weather and roads. I got to really liking it but I had to wear gloves and hat and coat. It has a hard top. No problems with reliability either and with a 4-banger it's o.k. on mileage. I wouldn't want to drive it hundreds of miles on a trip. Likes been said, in the nice weather with the top off it's fun.
i have a '99 Sport. came with the hard top but i bought the soft top and the bikini top setup over the next couple summers, and i also have a set of stock metal half doors and soft upper windows. riding on 31's with no lift. the only chrome on it was the headlight trim rings and i took care of that little problem a long time ago.
yes it rides rough. yes it isn't so great on gas. yes it is noisy. there must be something wrong with my heater though, because i don't have a problem with it, even with the soft top on. a lot of those heat and ride issues were fixed with the '97 redesign.
don't forget the solid front axles...
