I am selling a almost complete stock intake for a srt6 there,, are no filters, the "T" fitting that goes to the throttle body from the intake is not included,, the left hand air box tube( the black part in front of the sliver air box where the flex tube goes in i had to glue it back together) the clips broke off but it is fine now.

 

When folks are through beating down your door for these, I have two set available!

Wait. Maybe I'll keep a set for warranty work.

 

I need one part of the intake for SRT6 - the removable plate on the aft of the intake. It is near the firewall and is where the left and right side intakes come together. Would you sell me one?

Would you be interested in just selling the airbox portions? That would be all I need is the two halves that screw together with the filters in between.

rcompart,, yes i will sell you the boxes/with no filters in them 100.00 +20 shipping i will through in the tubes and couplings for free. the part missing is the throttle coupling "T" ,, jim

 

woody I have owned 397 two seater amx's 39 at the one time ,,yes all taged and inspected, fla. tag in the 70's was $12.00,, they were bought fixed up and sold,, they financed my racing,, just sold my last one 2 weeks ago,, I had gottten in 1982 a letter from state of fl. saying i had to get a dealer lic. because i had owned over 100 cars in one year,, i told them my wife collects stamps and had 10,000 of them does she have to get a lic. also,, yes i had to and did get a dealer's lic.

 

I was thinking I could split the parts with the other guy but it sounds like that part isn't part of the sale. I wouldn't have asked you to split it up otherwise.

That being said, anyone need the tubes or anything else besides the boxes that would like to split them up?

Wow! I'm mightily impressed with your dedication to the AMX, you must have had some sweet ones pass your way, it was one of my favorite cars of it's day.

Do you remember the AMX 3? I might even do a even swap with my 08 for this baby

 

I have no problem spliting up ,, tell me how and what part you want and then who wants the rest. that way i can brake up the price. jim

 

yes there were three of these built **** Teague owned two of them and in 1975 he called me to restore one from the two what happened next was a crime a guy by the name of L M called mr. teague and told him that I had told him to take over the restoring (which was a out right lie) you see mr Teague told me that all the parts and the extra body i could have so L M stole all of this from me ,,I have to blame my self because of my big mouth telling everyone about what was going to happen anyway when i called mr. teague he told me that larry told him that i was turning every thing over to him and that i would help in the restoring
long story short, I got screwed by the pres of the amx club international. now you know the rest of the story. they also made two AMX 2 . jim

 

That's a sorry ending to your involvement with the AMX 3. Wow, only 3 built. If that many AMX's passed your way you certainly deserved a shot at one of the AMX 3's. Sounds like that Larry Mitchell character had sense of entitlement because his then involvement with the AMX scene. I'm glad as heck there's no unsavory characters like that guy in this forum, well, except for the departed skirt-chasing Dan Root.

 

I did enjoy the amx's more than anyone knew,, AMC paid me to rdrag a amx 1969 and 1970,, now that was fun,, no matter what i broke ,,they fixed it like it was under warranty,, once Chrysler bought AMC 1987,, I could not bring myself to buy a chevy,,ford or chrysler ,we racing amc always got flack from all therr of them even though we won 96% of all races ,, so i got a maxima. flack you guys understand owning a crossfire well triple it and you are like owning a amc jim
