I am still here too. I was the first to sign up. Did I miss something? You said that you would PM us when you were ready for us to send a payment. I have just been waiting for information on when to send the money. Thanks.

that should be 4, and I know someone else wanted a set....I will see if I can look back and figure out who that was...and RIOT....you know I will do whatever you need....especially if it is boat related...we have had a lot of turn over around the lake...back to the pods, this is a last chance offer for some really nice pods...Jonny, I know we talked when I was about to pull the trigger on a set, about covering them with headliner material...is that something that is still lying around the shop?

So if this actually goes through, well maybe I should be more optimistic... when this goes through I've decided on the triple pillar pod.
Thanks Jonny

1) Riot Trip Pillar and Blank
2) Zahanma Double Pillar Blank maybe
3) Bubba89 Pillar
4) Bmorgan Triple

I am sorry I got the list messed up when two dropped out. Doc, Wrapped in fabric can still be an option I was never able to see it through but I have been dying to do one. I am debating making one for myself, but if I do I would be more than happy to split the cost to have these wrapped how ever many ways if people are interested because I would like that over painting. I have probably enough fabric for 5 pods and blanks, fabric would be free of charge, the cost to have it done as well as the temp made would be split how ever many want to do this. Just a heads up fabric was going for i believe $65 dollars a yard when we first tried to do this. The problem was the color wasn't spot on.... well the way that problem got fixed was begging for old fallen headliners from members and dealers. THIS WOULD BE ORIGINAL OE FABRIC. This includes you doc if you want to opt out of repainting.....

I have to go out of town this weekend we are shooting for one more member, either way the parts are ordered payment details will follow.

Hey Johnny,

Sorry to be off topic but are you gonna start making the center console back again by ANY chance?

OK, I will try this again...didn't post the last time I quess. I am interested in the fabric. I can send you the pods, your old pods, and you can cover them. I was going to send Rudy the gauges to change out the new logos for the old srt logos, is that something you can do as well? If it is, I would just pay you to do that as well. Just let me know if you are interested in doing this for me, and I will pay you for that if that helps...thanks

This may be a silly question, but are the pillars the same on the coupes and verts?

Rudy is the gauge guy, I dont even know if we have left over 06 emblem overlays he may.. As far as the wrapped in fabric goes I am in if more people want it, does anyone else want this option?

Pillars are the same on coupe and roadsters. I guess this is all the longer our list is going to get, Tomorrow I will order from the proper pillars and once I get them I will collect funds.

What would the final cost be with cloth? Since my car has no headliner , I do not have to worry about it matching up. But, it does make me wonder how cloth would look on the roadster. I am thinking it would look pretty nice.

I was going to sell this roadster kit awhile back that allows you to paint everything black or grey to match the interior color. Might be better to just pant it all, its a tough call that bridge piece feels very hard but almost spongy and mailable, where as the pillars are solid otherwise I would say paint the whole interior window trim with exterior car paint. It is something about that beigh that just makes it look so out of place on the srt roadsters.

Idea number two, which is what I am going to run with, is send me those three pieces (pillars and bridge) and have them wrapped in the black alcantera like the seats. I assume the cost to have the fabric pattern made for the pillars is going to be the majority of the cost that is why I offered to split the cost. Just a heads up Alcantra (the real micro) is $85-$115 a yard. I was quoted 3 yards for the pillars and the headlinner I would think you would need 1 or 2 aswell for the roadster.

so what are we talking to cloth the pillar pod, and passenger side? Do you need me to sand down the painted ones I have, or do you want to take them back and cloth a new set for me? These, I understand are your old ones...

Dropping like fly's sorry guys looks like this is going to be more trouble then it is worth, I appologize but I am no longer going to be making these pillar pods, 3 have pulled in the last 3 days it is no longer worth the time or the effort. As much as I would like to help you guys out it just isn't going to work out. Its too expensive for some, the dashdaq is the new way to go, and the market just isn't there. I appreciate your support really I do. Doc if you want me to send you fabric let me know I am sure a local upholstery shop could cover it for you.

Thanks again sorry for the inconvenience

Grrr this forum deeply frustrates me sometimes . I was getting quite excited about the pillar pod and then splattt! Pullouts galore! Guess I'm just unlucky with these group buy things, was involved in both the failed side skirty one and this one. I guess another "Oh Well" is in order. Thanks for trying Jonny.

IMO, Those are definitely not in the same category. Johnny has already made a run of these and out of the kindness of his heart was going to TRY and make another run. He definitely said he woudl TRY from the very beginning, all depending on parts and prices.

P.S. If anyone is selling there pod let me know. Color doesn't matter, I'll have it sprayed the color I want...neon green

Just so you know, by no means was my frustration directed at him. I didn't blame him for the other failed group buy and I'm not blaming him here. In my mind he was just another unlucky one who had to go along for the ride and I really do appreciate him trying again. I was just merely venting and directing my frustration towards the many failed attempts at dealing with this forum in respects to group buys and other marketplace deals. I think I'm just unlucky when it comes to getting parts for the SRT. Sorry for the confusion.
