Default Triple Pillar Pod

I have been getting quite a few pm's about pillar pods..... Must be Christmas season....The reason I stopped making these is because after all said and done all my work totaled about $5 an hour lol. I would be more than happy to start a group buy for pillars whether or not I make these is contingent on having at the minimum 5 people looking to purchase. I figure I should be able to get these done by or in early January assuming I can still get the needed supplies. Price will be $450 painted and insured shipped. There will be no core charge or core exchanged seeing as this time around there will not be a need for me to keep these stocked. If you want to send me your originals price will be $430. For those looking to have their blank (passenger pillar) painted to match price will be $80-$100. Again all said an done, I will need to see if I can still get the correct materials as well as if my painter would still be willing to cut me a deal on paint cost. The lease is up at the end of Jan in the shop, so this may very well be the last chance to get a custom made pillar pod. PM me or post, and I will make a list.

If anyone ever even considered one of these i can say this is the time to buy. Scale of 1 to 10 this piece gets a full 10. Amazing craftsmanship!

1) Riot Pillar and Blank
2) Srt6 Gang Member Pillar
3) bmorgan Pillar

Gang Member had a great idea where we do half now and half when they are ready to ship. One of two things I know money is tight for just about everyone and two we all wont take as large of a hit if I have to refund you paypal accounts if I am unable to get the correct supplies. Payments will start when we hit five

Johnny,

You can put me down for a pillar pod... and put me as a maybe for the blank...

I was thinking, any chance of getting a double instead of a triple? Just curious?

EDIT: Painted Black.

Man, I love these and they look to be such superior craftsmanship but my finances are really tied up...taxes, moving this summer . Have you had any success with a single or double pod I would love one of those and could possibly swing that $

I'm down for a pillar pod. Been searching far and wide for one of these. Not sure if I want a double or a triple yet though.

Johnny, would there be any difference in price between a double and a triple? I was thinking about just running a wideband A/F and a boost gauge...but may have to reconsider for a third gauge if there is no price difference...

also, if/when you start building these would you center the dual on the pillar or just remove one of the pods off the triple? I think i would rather have it with the top pod removed from the triple to have the gauges hug the console more....still thinking. i'd love to hear your thoughts on dual v. triple.

Believe it or not the doubles and singles can be more work than the triples so no price difference. Here is a double we did to match the original. The color is not so hot I wouldn't suggest that color but it works best with them spaced like that. I can try and pack them down by the dash but you will have a bump where it gets blended back into the original pillar. I think it would look just fine either way.

As far as the list goes that makes 5 I will order the parts tomorrow and get the pillars on the list started. I will shoot you pms tomorrow after I know I can get the parts we can do payments from there. For those still on the fence like I said it can be half now an half when it is time to ship might even work out a payment plan for ya lol. I was pretty serious about not making these again, once the lease is up in January I am sure this will have to be an actual reality. There is in no way shape or form I could make these in my garage.

OK so I was thinking that I might go with the 1/2 now and half later plan as Im really wanting one and trying to balance out the cost. I was wanting it in beige to match stock interior but you say its not a very good color match. Can you explain why it didnt look good?

That means Plan B, paint it and my passenger side (extra 80-100$..ugh) to match the dark gray of my dash....is that a color you can do or do you primairly stick with the exterior colors?

Thanks for the help

Curtis

The painter we had did a great job getting the color close with the materials we got him, what runined it was it is very hard to match a color with a flat clear and then sand and buff it, ie. started to become shinny in some spots. To top it off without the texture it didn't look very good. We have done 2 and is far as I know tvt painted the one interior black for the customer with rattle can. What I have suggested doing in the past 1) priming the pillar letting it dry 2) Turning the air down low on the gun and shot it with filler primer rather than a coating primmer. Letting it spit the filler primer should give it the texture like our dash. 3) coating it with the flat interior paint. Matching the interior black to a T is not a problem that can be done.

Plan B might have to be on hold I am going to build the pillar and then get a quote on how much additional it is to shoot the passenger pillar. Good ole chrysler decided to hike their prices on all of their parts. Last years price on a pillar was $20 less than this years. Paint cost on the passenger pillar used to be $80 with the triple at the paint shop. I was going to eat the $20 pillar cost and have them sprayed this time around. WE will have to wait and see.

Other than that ordered the base triple pillars and will place an order for the driver pillars tomorrow. I was going to make one and get a quote on paint like i said.

stay tuned

I'm still here too. I have already resolved myself to the fact that I won't be able to drop the full estimated $1500 on all the gauges/sensors and the pod at once, so this has become a long term project for me. However, like RIOT I am not missing out on this buy. Even if for some reason I decide that I'm not going to install it, I'm sure that in the end I will be able to sell it for what I bought it for. No worries here, let me know what the timeframes are.

Seeing as Christmas shopping is done for me, its time to start building the bankroll back up haha.
