I'm in need of a headlight adjustment screw for my 04. It's the left headlight. The screw has a ball on the end that broke off, thus my headlight went to the lowest position. Being a shadetree wrench, I took a 6mm button head bolt and ground/filed the head into a shape resembling a ball. It works (for now). The local dealer says that you cant get parts, have to buy the whole assembly. So if anyone has one that is damaged and laying on a shelf, I could use the adjustment screw to keep the XF all XF!

On another post you asked how to get the date and hour your car was made. You got a reply and never posted the results, what was it? Someone had a guess, how close were they?

 

I forgot to check the door sill - will do it today. The left headlight was made in October of 03! I must have one of the oldest XF's around.
