they are working on a core charge (if you want the rear back in one to two days), I should have a diff. in a few days to help the turn around time down. they will get back to you, just hang in there. jim

Thanks Jim, I know you will get a great deal....not only do I need to the core charge, but I don't know what the diff will weigh, so I would like a shipping weight if possible so I can see what the to and from shipping charge will be...this may have to be drop shipped thru a trucking company if too heavy for fedex or UPS, thanks....

here is what i got this morning from Phantom grip.

OK,...
To sell and install the phantom grip to the crossfire group it can be 1 of a couple options.
#1
retail $499.95 - $100.00 discount= 399. shipped to you so you can install it.
We REALLY prefer that you send us your diff for the install just for assurance that the install is being done correctly. If you choose this, the cost is 499.00 + shipping, you pay shipping both ways for the diff. You send us your diff, we will set it up and send it right back. Shipping of the diff could be $20-$50 ground, Jim said it weights 60 lbs. the weight will go up by 2 lbs after install. ( that is the weight with the phantom grip installed in it.)
24-48 hr turnaround time ,,, cost the PG + install is 499.00 + shipping,,or 399.+ shipping and you install it.

# 2
if we get a core from amx1397 (jim)
If we do a core exchange to cut time, 499.00 + core charge of 499.00 installed + shipping back to you . When your core gets back to us, a refund of $499 will be credited back the same way you paid (ex. paypal, refund will be through paypal) We accept Visa/Mastercard/Paypal/ACH debit,,,
# 3
If you would like to chance the install on your end, it will be
$399 + shipping for just the LSD PART which is 2 lbs
to your address using UPS

Note, we are doing this discount for the crossfires (jim's) group/

Jim, any idea how long they will be offering this? I'm gonna get one at that price but I'm trying to find a low mileage rearend so I can hang on to the stock one. I've found a few but all of them have 60-100k on them. If it's not gonna end this month, hopefully I can find another one in the next week or so.

Are there any drawbacks to the LSD? I don't suppose it would mess up the ESP or anything?

What are the major benefits? Would the traction control engage less often, and there'd be less spin off the line?

thanks for the info

So they are offering install for free, we just pay $399 plus shipping there and back?

Also, does this truly lock the diff 50/50 when under hard acceleration? I have no problem with traction on the street, but i can only spin one of my wheels doing a burnout at the track(damn 315's lol).

I have the phantom grip installed into my LIMITED rearend and this is installed into my srt6 I am working out the bugs .. 1 . I have 1, 2, 3 gear only and when in auto it gets to thrid it will not shift out of it. (limp mode) (((RESET IT))) if i manualy shift 1 ,,2 then 3 (can't go any higher) but i can down shift back to 2 and to 1 the torque differance is unreal.
to answer the question ,,can the PG go into the limited YES.
