likin that strut tower!! let me think a bit

 

Is the CAI like a Needwings connecting directly to the throttle body and filter behind the grill or kinda like a Needwing, but connecting to MAF and is inside engine bay?

 

Both of these intakes are for srt6 only, there is no MAF on our cars. It is just like the NW style.

Does anyone have experience with the need of a strut tower brace, or the gains on paper like a time slip.. I have to wonder how much change there is if the motor is Rigid and braced at one point ( supercharger like I did at MIR with a chain, which I got away from).

I have strapped the driver motor mount to limit rocking for breakage issues due to high loadings on the track. Woody

 

Woody I have been tossing this around in my head for some time ,Strut tower brace , it's going to be a really close fit, have you put anything on paper yet.I have a friend here that does a lot of Rod fabrications and I thought I might hit him up for some ideas too,,,,,,either stainless or alum, THOUGHTS

howard how about some cold rolled steel and bend to the shape you want? then its one piece with just a couple welds for the feet and tabs

 

That would work too , i was thinking about alum, oval not flat with a flat piece (plate) that bolts to S/C , Maybe a different mounting location instead of the shockbolt ,the raised part of the innerfender just to the outside of the strut , if you can visualize what i'm talking about ,they are matching raised areas on either side that have small plugs in then,,,
if this makes since good mounting area for the outside mounting plates

If you guys want a strut tower bar like the one in this thread i can do them for $250 shipped. This will include center bushings and bolts. But i will need 5 orders up front(looks like you have 3 already). I can honor this offer as long as i have my car to build them on.

If you can make them yourself for cheaper thats cool too. The picture should help you quite a bit.
