WTB - rubber headlight caps (or need part number)
WTB - rubber headlight caps (or need part number)
If anyone has any left over, undamaged headlight caps from any projects they have undertaken, I need two. If not, if someone can provide me with the part number for those, it would be appreciated. Thanks.
Re: WTB - rubber headlight caps (or need part number)
send me a picture of what you need, or rather a picture of where they are supposed to be on the headlight and ill check on our car for the part number

If Rob can't help, the parts for the Headlight Condensation TSB are available from the Chrysler stealership for ~ $22. Have them look up the TSB and it will reference a "Kit" for the repair.
TSB: 13-Jan-05 - 08-002-05 - Lighting - Condensation in Headlamps
2 large caps and 2 small vents. Backwards compatible with any year headlight housing.

Max, that is why I love you LOL but not in a homosexual sort of way, not that there is anything wrong with that
Going to call the worthless dealer later today.
Thanks Rob, I am going to try to source them locally and see what I can come up with.
anyone know how I can get another clip for the high beam bulb? Upon taking the headlights apart, I realized the previous owner had used a f*cking twist tie to hold in the bulb

Max, if I can get another clip (spare) I can send it to you to make more because it seems these are unavailable from the dealer and people lose them all the time

Ok, guys-you're on. I'll PM you both and when I receive a clip, I'll procure the correct spring wire and I'll make a passel of them. I'll send yours back and at least we'll have:
A) a bunch sitting-waiting for those in need, and
B) a pattern that more can be made from.
Problem solved!

It's in the works-Larry is mailing them ASAP.
I shoulda' done it long ago. I would use one of mine, but that would be the one time it goes skittering into the bowels of the headlight!

And Rusty and John-the other project should continue on Monday or Tuesday-the welder should be back from hunting in Kentucky tomorrow and back to work! I'll know how it works out very soon!
