Hello from Germany.

I am offering the Harman/Becker Radio. It is working fine.
I would ship via DHL International.

Price: $US 250 + US$ 20 shipping

If this unit was not made for the North American market it will not have the correct firmware for the Nav to work. Also, I believe the European AM frequency band may be different from the North American. This was info provided to me by Becker USA.

Yes, of course you will need the nav disc for America. Just download it and burn to cd or buy it, e.g. on ebay.. The AM and the FM frequency band will work fine. It is nonsense that it would not work with the AM frequency in America. AM frequency is 522-1620 in Europe and 530-1710 in America. The radio is totally capable to handle that!

I repeat this nav unit will not work in North America, it does not have the correct firmware. Beware of the incorrect advice posted by OP

As I recall someone purchased a radio from Europe and it did not work here.
MRABGs explanation is correct.
PS
If anyone wants to pay $250 plus $20 they can have my one. In fact I'll skip the $20.

As I recall the interference noise is just the same sounding hissssssssssss. So no change there.

I thought it was you, but I would not have embarrassed you even if I had been sure.

I got away pretty good on this blunder. Seller allowed returns for full refund, just cost me shipping. Hopefully others can learn from my mistake.
