What good is it with out the data card, is that how it knows its talking to a XF? How much is an XF SD? What about the Zietronix whats that do and do I need a special sensor to plug it into the XF?

rick it plugs into your OBD2 car computer so your directly wired into the card the SD card is just a sandisk for memory if you want to save different setting or stats for a later viewing, you can buy one for $10...as for the zietronix most people team it with the dashdaq and it allows your to calibrate the map and monitors many different functions example air fuel, throttle position, fuel reg, etc. you will need to run a new o2 sensor if your running there air fuel combo...

So I am having problems with the supercharger losing boost. At 60-70 MP when I hit the accelerator it's flat, like the SC isn't working. Also when I hit it hard of the line there is a spurt then an incredible lag that puts me forward in the seat and then it moves out. I believe from reading the forums that I have a problem with the auxiliary water pump and maybe the crank sensor and that's where i will start working, but I believe this type of tool would help in diagnosing the problem and the cure.
So without the Zietronix you can't really do any tuning of the engine yourself is that correct?

 

you would use the dashdaq to watch the air intake temp in that scenario, if it is reaching 190+f then your cooling circuit is not working

License? The Zietronix is an addition you can add for increased functionality. The Dashdaq "alone" reads signals from the OBD2 port. IAT's, ECT's, Boost, STFR, LTFR, speed, throttle position, more, more and more. The Zietronix is usually added for the wideband AFR capability. You can get much faster sample rates of some of the same info you receive from the Dashdaq through the Zietronix. Start with the Dashdaq and if needed or wanted, the Zietronix can be added at a later date. You will learn quickly what is normal watching the information available with the Dashdaq. I can't imagine not having mine.
